Guest guest
Hello all, wondering if anyone has experienced this: a bit of history.... My son was thought to have celiac's had several tests to confirm this...the last one confirmed it ( Enterolab) We have been GFCF for 2 yrs. I have also done SCD - nothing is bringing results ....and at the moment I just want to make him as healthy as he can be. One of his doctors told me ( 3yrs ago - when doing all the digestive tests to confirmed what was going on with him ) that he has a slow digestive tract?? .....he was vommitting at that time of testing - not keeping anything down - he would throw up 5 - 6 hrs later and his breakfast would still be in his *throw - up*! Once we went gluten free the throwing up stopped! The last 2 weeks I have tried upping his supplement regime....and I think that I was making him really sick! His bowels were the WORST ever!! so for 2 weeks he had unformed poop and mucus and looking very pale. I thought about what that doctor told me several years ago and the slow mobility issue. what if....he was not digesting all the supplements and keeping them all in his stomach! I stopped on Thursday and added enzyme ( zyme prime )....by Friday he had a formed poop! This morning...Sunday he once again had the best poop he has had in 2 weeks! I think that my son is just one of the kids that can not handle all the supplements that our DAN doctor wants him to take.... sorry this is so long but it really is a puzzle at times trying to figure out what will work....right now he is so happy and playing and that means the world to me.... i really hope i hear from someone out there! and can realte to this... What supps are you giving? > I think that my son is just one of the kids that can not handle all the supplements that our DAN doctor wants him to take.... My son did not tolerate most supplements until I started chelating him. Also, almost every supplement that he required, tended to increase yeast. And mucus in the bm was one sign of yeast here. Guest guest
I was giving ( he also has seizures and I have to make sure that I give supplements at least 2 hrs after his seizure meds) Calcium supplement ( 800 mg ) divided dose one at 845 - then one at lunch ( 400 mg)then another at 300 pm 845 : 50mg Vit b 6 25 mcg Bit b 12 5 ml CLO Probiotic all taken with food Lunch Multi vitamin Calcium ( 200 mg) Magnesium 50 mg with food 3 pm - last of the calcium + vit d 200 mg after this one I give nothing till he gets his seizure meds thanks Dana I though that the mucus was * yeast* as I switched to Culterelle ( 10 billion CFU's) His BM's have been great since I stopped all the above supplements except for those B vitamins ( seizure meds deplete your b's) so I have to keep on top of those thoughts? > > The last 2 weeks I have tried upping his supplement regime....and I think that I was making him really sick! Guest guest
dq8 dq7? Hi Debra thanks! Our son did test positive for celaic sprue with Enterolab...when we remove all gluten his vomitting stopped? is this a different test you are talking about? let me know I am interested > > Oh!! I forgot my daughter tested positive for Dq8 gene for celiac.Get him checked for DQ2 DQ8. Deb >

Giving calcium really set him off. > 845 : 50mg Vit b 6 > 25 mcg Bit b 12 These two tended to cause a large amount of yeast overgrowth here. B6 required magnesium. B12 required carnitine, B2, and folic acid. > 5 ml CLO CLO required mito cocktail. > Probiotic My son did not tolerate probiotics so I used biotin instead. > Calcium ( 200 mg) > Magnesium 50 mg The ratio is 2:1. So if you give 200mg calcium, give 100mg magnesium. Dana
