Guest guest
The best protocol I know of is frequent, low dose chelation with oral DMSA and ALA 1/8 to 1/2 mg per pound of body weight every 3 to 4 hours day and night for 3 days on and either 4 or 11 days off. You can learn more at www.amalgamillness.com and the autism treatment group. Dana cwr98 wrote: > I just got my son's Hair Elements test back from Doctors Data. His lead was high (95), along with aluminum and silver. Total Toxic load was very high. In addition, copper was off the charts and Copper Zinc Ratio was low. Where do I start? I did the counting rule and it doesn't look like mercury, but how do I reduce the copper and lead, and others? > Any help is greatly appreciated. >

Guest guest
Along with what Dana has suggested below, if Copper is high then giving zinc, molybdenum and bile producing supps such as milk thistle, and taurine with meals should help and also Vit c. It should take about a month to see improvement. Remove any sources of current exposures http://www.danasview.net/metals.htm >>Total Toxic load was very high. In addition, copper was off the charts and Copper Zinc Ratio was low. Where do I start? Add zinc. >>I did the counting rule and it doesn't look like mercury, but how do I reduce the copper and lead, and others? DMSA is generally recommended for lead. ALA can eliminate lead, but not as effectively. Dana

Guest guest
And does this just show, recent metals, or what has been in their system for some time? Guest guest
It shows what is being excreted in the hair at the time of hair growth. If the hair is cut close to the head it should show recent and past exposure that the hair is excreting (hair grows about 1/2 an inch per month) . If there is mercury toxicity this can go a bit skewiffed, which is probably why the counting rules was devised.
