Guest guest
I would up the magnesium. Many of the supplements he ison need magnesium and it helps with constipation. Also vitamin c could go up a bit. We used oxypowder for constipation it works great and gentle. Yikes! My son is constipated. VERY constipated. My 7 1/2 year old son, who is normally on the diarhetic side of things, might as well of had a baby tonight. He was scared and crying in the bathroom for about a half hour tonight. He has *immensely* improved since I have added supplements, enzymes, etc. to his diet (beharior, eye contact, communication) , but now I need to know what to do about this new problem in a natural, gentle way. He is currently taking the following daily: Probiotic in morning multivitamen biotin (400 mg) magnesium taurate (125 mg) Calcium magnesium (Calcium Carbonate - 240 mg , Vitamen D3 100IU , Magnesium Hydroxide 180mg) Behavior Balance (1/2 tablespoon contains: Vitamin B6 30 mg, Folic Acid 400 mcg, Vit. B12 10 mcg, Magnesium as Magnesium malate 30mg, Zinc 25 mg, DMG) Takes this twice daily. Liquid Carnosine Plus (One tablespoon equals: L-Carnosine 250Mg, Zinc 3mg, Vitamin C 100 mg, Magnesium Taurinate 30mg, Magnesium Glycinate 30 mg) But he only takes 1 tsp. once daily. and Houston's Trienza Enzymes (2 at every meal) What should I be changing to help him with this? He was scared about going to the bathroom tomorrow and after he went to bed tonight he had a stool accident in his pull up for the first time in years! Please help with any suggestions. Guest guest
What has been new with the supplements? Any new foods that could have caused this? Be cautious with calcium it can constipate. Add more vitamin C and see if this helps(loosens stools). We use aloe vera juice to get things moving. If you just need a quick fix(if this is not the norm for him) I recommend adding 1000mgs with breakfast, if nothing by late afternoon, maybe add another 1000mgs with lunch/dinner. Get him to drink as much water as possible. Jennie<>< > > My 7 1/2 year old son, who is normally on the diarhetic side of things, might as well of had a baby tonight. Guest guest
Hi, We have used magnesium glycinate (one capsule at bedtime, also helps him relax) and also Source Naturals Chlorella. The chlorella tablets are small and we usually give about 8-10 a day for our 85 pound son PRN. We also use probiotic pearls and Saccharomyces Boulardii regularly. Maybe it will help you? Guest guest
You are giving way to much magnesium, which is relaxing the colon and making him poop, which is a mineral and minerals are not water soluble (peeing them out), which means this is making him toxic and is harmful to the body.. Also, he is getting each thing separate, thats not good, they have to be put together with other supplements to keep the balance in the body so they work properly. That is why our products have a combination of things in each product, because they all work together to keep that balance inside of us. He needs to start with Ultimate Aloe Juice (cranberry/apple flavor) (start with 1 capful AM and PM and see if you need more or less) and Isotonix Digestive Enzymes with probiotics ( 1 capful at each meal), and Might Mins (2 capfuls in AM and PM), and OPC3 (1 capful AM and PM) and B Complex (1capful AM and PM). The products I am talking about are all natural and isotonix...which means they get into the blood stream in about 5 minutes and he will get about 95% of the product as opposed to the normal 25%. Our Company has the patent on these products so no other is like them. They are all powder ecept for the Aloe Juice. Here is the address to my web portal. This will help you and him. Good luck!! You will need to sign in and create an account. If you need more information you can e-mail me back. marketamerica.com/janetendicott Janet " brentandjen@... Guest guest
We use oxypowder, 1 1/2 caps at bedtime on as empty a stomach as possible. We started at 1/2 cap and worked up. If he doesn't go one day, the next day we add an ounce or two of aloe juice to his juice. But I understand aloe juice can be habit-forming, so we try to keep him regular with just the oxypowder. Good luck, Maggie > > My 7 1/2 year old son, who is normally on the diarhetic side of things, might as well of had a baby tonight. Guest guest
>>taking the following daily: > Probiotic in morning > multivitamen > biotin (400 mg) > magnesium taurate (125 mg) Biotin requires magnesium for proper absorption, and 125mg is probably not enough. Try adding at least 400mg to start, increase as required. > Behavior Balance (1/2 tablespoon contains: Vitamin B6 30 mg, Folic Acid 400 mcg, Vit. This one will tend to increase yeast, and yeast can be constipating. http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm Here are some other constipation ideas http://www.danasview.net/constip.htm Dana
