Guest guest
I recently came up with h. pylori on an Assyra test. My doc recommended saccromyces boullardi (sp?). It slipped my mind until a few weeks later when I had an increase in stomach issues. I started taking the sacc b and the symptoms disappeared. Darla OT: H Pylori and Mastic, does it work? Good morning listmates, My 4 year old has H pylori. He does bad with antibiotics. Did you ever used Mastic Gum? Did it work? thank you! mom of
Guest guest
There's some evidence that H. Pylori isn't a pathogen at all, but rather it has evolved symbiotically to be part of our immune system. It produces Treg cells, which is kinda like the holy grail of immune healing. It is supported be byproducts of Klebsiella in the intestines, which over-produce when fed starch, thus causing the H. Pylori to overgrow, and that's when it can cause problems, when there is an imbalance. Here's more about that from one of my favorite medical blogs: http://coolinginflammation.blogspot.com/2010/04/helminths-oligosaccharides-and.h\ tml WARNING- this post discusses parasites, so it can get gross. Here's the excertp: " Treg Development Depends on Gut Flora Gut bacteria are needed for the normal function of the immune system. Oddly, Helicobacter pylori, Hp, the cause of stomach ulcers and cancer, also stimulates the development of Tregs. Thus, the pathology of Hp may result not from its presence, but rather from how it is growing. Since Hp uses hydrogen gas produced by Klebsiella in the lower bowel and hydrogen production is dependent on dietary starch, then it follows that the pathological behavior of Hp may be dependent on dietary starch. A low starch diet may actually result in Treg stimulation from Hp and a reduction in allergies and autoimmune diseases. " -Sierra > > I recently came up with h. pylori on an Assyra test. Guest guest
Interesting. I increased enzymes at the same time I started the sacc b, in case it was a food issue. Just assumed the sacc b did it, but I think I'll try the extra enzymes without the sacc b to see if I really need it. Thanks, Darla OT: H Pylori and Mastic, does it work? > > > > Good morning listmates, > > My 4 year old has H pylori. He does bad with antibiotics. Did you ever used Mastic Gum?
