Guest guest
I use Cherry Plum for my irritability (magnesium works great for that too). My friend uses RR also with her kids with great results. I think they're pretty safe except for the alcohol content if you use a lot of it. They are just addressing symptoms temporarily and not treating the underlying cause, but whatever it takes to make our lives a little easier! ;-) On Fri, Jan 9, 2009 at 4:07 PM, jenniferseefried <jenniferseefried@... > wrote: > Has anyone tried using the Bach flower remedies? Guest guest
I have a hard time believing in it, but that didnt stop me from trying it. My son had a lot of anxiety when it came to trying new foods and would gag at the very sight of new foods. After trying bach flower remedies to reduce anxiety, he suddenly started eating all foods. It is hard for me to figure out if this came directly from the bach flowers as I tried many different things together at that time. I am using bach flower remedies for myself too. It makes me feel more relaxed, less anxious, so am able to sleep better and therefore have more energy. Its relatively inexpensive and safe, so I dont mind trying it even if this is simply a placebo effect. You have to find someone who can pick the right remedy / combination for ur condition. Guest guest
Bach has Rescue Remedy in a cream which is nice. My boy will swallow capsules (not available) but refuses the sublingual drops (even in a drink) so I put a little cream on my fingers in the morning and rub his feet when I'm waking him up. His teacher said he was so very polite this morning! :-) I've been using the cream myself morning and evening and it really did take the edge off the holidays. Guest guest
I've used Rescue Remedy on our psycho cat that we had briefly. She would hiss, growl, and swat at me everytime I walked by her. I sprayed RR, and she immediately calmed down. A few minutes later, this cat sat on my lap and let me pet her for the first time. It does wear off quick, and that's the drawback of most homeopathic remedies.
Guest guest
Hi, It works well with my daughter, but I didn't see anything with my son. I give it to my daughter before stressful events. Some of my friends have used it also with success. Carol From: jenniferseefried <jenniferseefried@...> Subject: Flower remedies?? Guest guest
The moment I was convinced of their effectiveness, was also in use with a pet. There is no possibility of the " placebo effect " claim, when you administer Rescue Remedy to a trembling dog and immediately see the calming results. I have since used a few different flower remedies. There is a questionnaire that helps you determine which ones are most needed, but Rescue Remedy is something anyone can use, and something many people keep in their medicine cabinet as a standard. I have also used mimulus. For my son, the " spray " form works best. > > I've used Rescue Remedy on our psycho cat that we had briefly. Guest guest
I tried the Bach flowers remedy with my son a 4 years old with ASD. Within 48 hours he lost the need to cling to his pacifier and blanket, both items were his security for 4 years! It made him calmer and pushed him to the next level. his teacher said " the light is suddenly coming out of him " and his dad asked when he came from work " what happened? it's like someone got inot his head and changed something " His dad does not believe in anything that is not mainstream and MD prescribed! The use of Bach flower could be either by rescue remedy, which helps stress and more - basically every illness (which is stress of the body) A deeper treatmenr must be tailored by someone who studied it and can make the perfect blend for the child based on her/his personlity, fears, etc. I am a Bach flowers practitioner, and would love to answer any specific question for you. But again any treatment should be individually tailored. I also treat the mother first. I feel like it helps with the child's treatment and development. Hope this helps > > Has anyone tried using the Bach flower remedies? I tried the rescue > remedy with my 5 yr old son, (ASD) and he was soooo relaxed. Guest guest
Thanks for the input everyone. I know it doesn't solve the underlying problems but until I get his supplements balanced for him, I think I'll try RR to help with stressful situations for him. Thanks Jen
