Guest guest
We use something called Syntol - by Arthur medical recommended by our DAN - http://neprinolenzyme.com/syntol-probiotic.htm. I do think its really helping our son's intestines to heal because for the first time ever he has some formed stools. Does anyone else use this or has anyone else heard of it, good or bad? _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of emilynk.chan Sent: Thursday, June 25, 2009 8:28 PM Subject: natural yeast fighters (not GSE) My 4 YO son has just done 2 weeks of diflucan which seemed to have calmed him down. There was (and still is) a lot of weird stuff in his stool which I suspect is dead yeast. His recent ABA reports are good also - attentive and compliant again (not seen those words for 2 months) so I guess the Diflucan helped. Will soon take him off diflucan and want to move to natural stuff (for fear of liver and kidney damage). Any suggestions and dosage advice please? I used GSE on him before (5 drops 2X per day) which I think killed not just yeast but also beneficial bacteria, so I don't want to give it to him frequently. I am giving him custom probiotic (2.5 scoop each time) or kirkman's super pro-bio gold (2 capsules each time) two times each day. Anyone has suggestions for probiotics that can keep yeast under check? Threelac is out as my son cannot tolerate it. Many many thanks for your help

Any suggestions and dosage advice please? I used biotin, GSE, ACV, and Candidase with good success. OoO can also be helpful. > I used GSE on him before (5 drops 2X per day) which I think killed not just yeast but also beneficial bacteria, so I don't want to give it to him frequently. Try biotin. Guest guest
, probiotics require food in order to outcompete candida. Although they can use sugar and starch, obviously candida uses it faster, so feed the probiotics something candida can't thrive on. Inulin contains only about 10% sugar and about 85% something candida can't use. That said, each type or strain of probiotic finds certain areas on the bowel lining to be hospitable. This would be the strain to try to get the candida out of that location with. Unfortunately you don't know the details so you have to feed the natural probiotics in the gut primarily, and secondly try to foster change by using several strains of bifidobacteria, which should be the dominant gut bacteria in a four year old.
