Guest guest
Dayna, I don't think its crazy at all. Some kids have done better with wheat in their diets with the enzymes, I know I have read recently Dana posting about this. My son does well with wheat with enzymes. As a health care practitioner (not specialized in Autism) I am a firm believer in everything in moderation and not limiting foods unless absolutely necessary. For some of our kids some eliminations are absolutely necessary and some aren't. I'd try it with lots of enzymes for backup. His gut is still the piece of the puzzle I can't solve. My son's gut was healed with digestive enzymes, a few other supplements, and ALA chelation. >>Could it be possible to rotate in gluten with enzymes to replace all of the rice based > food and still heal the gut? When I removed rice and corn, and added back wheat, my son noticeably improved. So it is a definite possibility. If you can do oats with enzymes, that is even better, because oats have gut healing properties. Dana

There is some research, someone posted a good article. Wheat and oats are high in B vitamins, which is one of the supps my son required for gut healing.
