yelps/barks/shrieks/ a sound like 'Ay!' It's at a pitch and volume that

literally make my ears hurt. He's non-verbal otherwise.

Increase the yeast protocol.

the stim is still there.

Add or increase biotin, see if that helps.

I'm just going to throw this out there, hoping it may help.

My son was doing lots of vocal/visual stimming and it has recently stopped

completely when we stopped feeding him rice.

We have done a VERY thorough parasite test with a specialist, on top of the CDSA

w/parasitology X3 from Great Plains (which found NOTHING, zero), and the

specialist testing found A LOT of parasites, including one they had never seen

and it's at the CDC being looked at to see which meds it will take to kill it.

(I know...) His new doctor (not a DAN doctor, btw, just very open minded and

thorough) firmly believes parasites aren't given enough focus, they cause

microscopic holes which lead to a ton of food sensitivities and just basically

do tons of damage. They let in oxalates, allow yeast to grow, destroy secretory

IgA, everything that causes these vicious cycles we are all on. Anyway, his IgG

test came back that he was allergic to 80% of foods tested for, so we started

getting rid of them and low and behold, no more stims.

I guess my point is, maybe it's worth seeing if parasites could be an underlying

problem, and get a really good test with a specialist. I've read several places

that only 1% of cases are really getting detected. And sometimes a " cleanse "

isn't enough. It can take up to a year to really get rid of them. And then the

healing can begin and hopefully, less immune system responses to foods that

aren't really the enemy. I'm no expert, and this is only my son's case, but

maybe it's time we started looking at parasites as much as we look at yeast and

bacteria and viruses.

At least it gives you something to consider???

Actually, they put the sample under the microscope and there they were. I have

no idea how a $400 test from a huge company like Great Plains can miss them all,

but it did tell us about how little secretory IgA he has. This is the first line

of defense against pathogens and he has almost none. So, that's a clue from

those tests, but all we got. If I had not emailed his blood test results to a

doctor to ask about his thyroid, WE NEVER WOULD HAVE KNOWN they were there. It

missed tapeworm, pinworm, giardia, and the one we are waiting for

identification. (sounds horrible, doesn't it?)

What really alerted them was his extremely high Eosinophils on his blood test.

Very indicative of a parasitic infection. They said it was the highest they had

ever seen even in adults.

His yeast markers were good, and we are on Rx antifungals anyway, so although it

is always there, it wasn't causing the stims. Food is causing them, of that I'm

certain.

He's allergic to everything he can eat according to our diets too. Except

coffee. Which is an appetite suppressant, so maybe I'll just go with that :)

I have a few articles you may like to read, they helped me really get my brain

around how they can cause so many symptoms.

First, check out www.food-allergy.org. This is one lady's story about her family

and experience with parasites, and is really informative.

Then, parasitesinhumans.org, and last

Sorry to be so detailed. Hope it helps,

I started with 400mcg, but if your child is older/larger and/or he is not

sensitive to adding supplements, you can start at 1000mcg.
