Guest guest
Hello, I have a crazy thought I want to share with everyone. My son has been gfcf for four years now. His gut is still the piece of the puzzle I can't solve. His last food panel came back with sensitivities to rice and potato as well as eggs, celery, lettuce, cucumber, carrot, broccoli, citrus fruits, pineapple, tomato and watermelon. Most of these items excluding rice, potato, eggs and tomato he has never eaten before. I know that most people would suggest the SCD but my kiddo is a high ammonia kid and high protein is not an option. So, here is my thought. Could it be possible to rotate in gluten with enzymes to replace all of the rice based food and still heal the gut? I am starting to think that the rice has become a huge problem for us and if we substitute gluten it might help his gut take a break from the rice. Am I crazy for even thinking this? I would love to hear from anyone with thoughts or advice (good or bad). Thanks, Dayna
