Guest guest
Acne with puberty is sign that the liver is not excreting the extra hormones properly. http://www.acne.org/messageboard/Liver-Flush-t186149.html I'm going to forward an email off list regarding taking milk thistle for liver support, but you need a glutathione precursor if your body is lacking it (I could be since I might be heavy metal toxic). Essential Fatty Acids might help too, but it could make acne worse in some people. Guest guest
Hi, It's not acne she's getting, it's strickly pimples. She probably has heavy metal damage, as her hair analysis says she's full of Al. Unfortunately, she is so uninterested in swallowing supplements at the moment, there's so little I can do for her. cat
Guest guest
Yes, she has pimples with no acne, just whiteheads, so to speak, but they can get pretty big. I assume this is part of her metabolism malfunction associated with her ADHD. cathy

Guest guest
There are topical, natural suppliments that help to deal with just pimples. One of them is witch hazel..it does not have the burn of other topical astringents, but all the benefit with out the overly drying effect....just a cotton ball twise a day with a little bit can reduce the bacteria on the skin to reduce the size and amount of pimples....I hope this helps! Guest guest
When you say " just pimples " does that mean not acne pimples? Guest guest
Cat, Acne is defined as " an inflammatory disease of the sebaceous glands, characterized by comedones and pimples, esp. on the face, back, and chest, and, in severe cases, by cysts and nodules resulting in scarring " So pimples are type of acne. So what others including myself have suggested would be worth a try. If it started around puberty I would definitely look into some type of a liver support. A lot of supplements come in capsules, so you can open them up and mix it into food. Or you might want to look at this page to identify what kind of acne (I'm using the term 'acne' to describe any kind of blemish) they are so we can help further. http://www.acne.org/whatisacne.html On Wed, Dec 10, 2008 at 7:16 PM, <bailcthrn@...> wrote: > Hi, It's not acne she's getting, it's strickly pimples. Guest guest
Acne is just a more severe case of pimples. Typically pimples/acne are a bacterial issue. We have discovered with our teen son that drinking aloe vera juice and taking lemons and rubbing topically on face does the trick for him. You can also rub aloe on the face. Infact we noticed with surprise, the famous proactive treatment advertised on tv that one of the main ingredients is aloe vera. Also as the earlier accutane poster mentioned, vitamin A does help. But vitamin A does not excrete from the body and this is one to really monitor/research!(accutane is high doses of vit A and they now have risk waivers for the med)!
