Guest guest
Can someone clarify for me? Children with autism should have higher EPA than DHA but NT kids ( who I provide fish oil to) need more DHA than EPA?
Guest guest
I'd like more info on this too, especially if anyone finds any good research or online reporting. I've been giving my daughter 1000mg 4:1 EPA:DHA for several months now and we've had tremendous results with her focus, attention, etc. The results has been improvement in all areas. The only research I'd seen on negative side effects was the blood thinning effects of Omegas, but the research we saw recommending it was definitely tested on adults. I'm inclined to stick with it, but I obviously have concerns about giving a lot of anything to a child who's not yet 4. Would appreciate any info on side-effects as well as any info about how dosage should be tweaked. (when I halved the dosage in December I began seeing regression within 2 weeks, so bumped it back up) > > > > Can someone clarify for me? Guest guest
I do the same and get a general improvement in my daughter's mood -- more cheerful, more co-operative, less easily upset. There is quite a lot of research on the mood improvement with EPA and DHA is important for the structure of the brain.
