Guest guest
Does anyone supplement this to their child? DS is has low histamine levels and I'm wondering about supplementing with histidine. Where is a good place to purchase? Is there something better to supplement with? What should I know. Thanks!
Guest guest
What are his copper levels like? High copper can cause low histamine. Guest guest
Hi , yes he has high copper in his blood. I've read bout that...copper/histamine ratio last night. But I can't get the copper out just yet, don't think, cause just a smidgin of zinc and other antioxidents (vit c, b6, the mag's, etc) cause a HUGE increase of yeast. And I'm talking a smidgin of a capsule and he's chewing on blankets, red cheeks, smelly poops, all things that I'm just now, finally, getting somewhat under control. I've really got to get this yeast under more control. I'm just not seeing how I can do both at the same time. It feels like I'm working backwards or chasing my tail. Guest guest
We deal with high copper too- interestingly, it seems to also be associated with high histamine which is what we have. I think maybe there are many mechanisms that can lead to high copper? If you can't add zinc, have you tried reducing high copper foods? Here's a list: http://www.ithyroid.com/copper.htm If your son has low zinc, have you tested for Pyrroluria? -Sierra > > Hi , yes he has high copper in his blood. Guest guest
Thanks for the link Sierra! We have reduced high copper foods..one of which being his formula...we've completely stopped giving it to him, we didn't even know it was soooo very high in copper. And seemingly over night he improved. We have been tested for pyrrole disorder and according to the results, yes, he does have this issue. However, currently he is not low on zinc...maybe because when we tested we stopped the zinc supplements like a week before. We had a great beginning when we started the zinc but that has since changed. I believe the zinc is increasing the yeast. And I just can't get a handle on the yeast thing. So, until that happens I'm not gonna introduce supplements that make the yeast beast worse. > > We deal with high copper too- interestingly, it seems to also be associated with high histamine which is what we have.
