Guest guest
Maybe your doctor can diagnose him with " unspecified disorder of metabolism " diagnosis code 277.9 and add that to the letter. It would IMHO go along way in helping to show them that its a " real " medical condition and treatment. HTH. Guest guest
These are both great suggestions. I will look into them. I know that they sent a request for information from Pfeiffer which I do not have a problem with but Pfeiffer said that they had never seen such a detailed request for information which was obviously drawn up by the attorney for the district. Get this though, one of the questions was " could these enzymes be given outside of school hours instead of during the day? " I told them to respond by saying " oh yes. definitely. she has just been driving to the school each day for 3 years because she has nothing better to do. In addition this is why she is pushing all of this through the legal system because she is bored and needed something to do. " Can you believe that? Amazing. Again, thanks for your responses. Guest guest
Amy, I talked to Pfeiffer about the diagnosis code you mentioned below. Ironically, they said on the bill they sent to the school for answering all of their questions they had they put a diagnosis code of 275.8 which they said is the same thing? Where did you get the information on the diagnosis codes? Is there a website? Just wondering. Thanks, Tami Re: Re: preparing for mediation with school Maybe your doctor can diagnose him with " unspecified disorder of metabolism " diagnosis code 277.9 and add that to the letter. Guest guest
From our DAN. The code you have 275.8 looks like it is more specific and they have something in mind. Probably is similar-just depends on whether your insurance company pays that one. If they don't then resubmit it with the other one. --- Tami Doran <tjdoran5@...> wrote: > Amy, > > I talked to Pfeiffer about the diagnosis code you > mentioned below. Guest guest
We don't use our insurance for any of my son's stuff. (My husband has his own law practice so its already 1K a month and if we use it much it goes up...so obviously we don't want to use it if we don't have to) I was only wondering if that diagnosis code would help my case with the school by having the " unspecified disorder of metabolism " diagnosis that you discussed. I will look into it. Thanks for the info Tami Re: Re: preparing for mediation > with school > > > Maybe your doctor can diagnose him with > " unspecified > disorder of metabolism " diagnosis code 277.9 and > add > that to the letter.
