Guest guest
Hello! I'm new to this group. My daughter is 3 and has been diagnosed with autism. It is very mild. I decided to try the enzymes in lieu of the gfcf diet because she is so very picky about what she'll eat. We began with the enzymes about 3 weeks ago. First used Enzymedica (glutenease) but they tasted bad (I was adding them to her juice and food) then I ordered Houston's Tri-Enza - much better! My question is - just after I started adding them to her juice, I noticed her playing A LOT with her upper lip (never did prior). At that time, I didn't know you were supposed to rinse them out of the mouth. I have been rinsing them out for about the last week and the amount she is playing with her upper lip has decreased, but is still present. Does anyone have experience with this? I'd like to know how long it might take to repair and if maybe now, even with rinsing them out, is giving them to her like adding salt to a wound?!! She can't talk to tell me if something is wrong, and is pretty complacent about things, so I'd hate to be causing harm. Thanks in advance for your suggestions! Guest guest
I have my boys drink them with a straw to minimize the amount that touches their mouths. I haven't noticed any signs of irritation and we've been doing Trienza since January. Could it be that it has become a habit/stim for her now? > > Hello! I'm new to this group.
