You might want to suggest she go GFCF . My son had horrible allergies, asthma

and exczema. % allergy meds, nebulizer, two inhalors and he still wasn't under

control. We started GFCF and he's off all those meds! He takes claratin when the

pollen is high, but that's it. As for the ointment...I used carmex lip balm and

it works like a champ! Only the kind in the little tin, not the tubes or sticks.

He doesn't get exczema anymore unless he eats something with wheat by mistake

Has she tried extra virgin olive oil. I have a daughter that has lived at the

dermatologist for years. Tried everything; sometimes as much as $300 a tube.

Nothing helped. I ran across something about olive oil and put some on her face.

Within a few days it started to heal.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a cream / other topical treatment for severe

eczema? A friend just called desperate for a solution.

Her 4 y/o DD's eczema and allergies are really bad right now. The little girl is

scratching so much that Mom is worried about infection. She went through a tube

of neosporin in just a few days and has now switched to a slightly stronger

topical antibiotic (by prescription) from the pediatrician. Any help would be

appreciated. Thanks!

eczema is an autoimmune issue usually caused by food, etc. infractions.  Is she

on any kind of dietary restrictions?  Also essential fatty acids are necessary

to heal eczema from the inside out.

eczema was always, always yeast here, it is her bodies way of getting it

out since her insides may be full of it. My son had it terribly on his

toes, 8 years of treating it with creams and drugs and then we heard onhere

that it was yeast, and started GSE and biotin and in 3 weeks it was almost

gone and has not come back in 3 years..we keep him on good probiotics at

night as well...

You've gotten lots of great tips. Please tell her to get some food allergy

testing done. It could be the combination of many things, like pollen this time

of year, but foods need to be looked at. Poor thing. Hope better soon.

For my son, eczema was always caused by gluten and caisen (milk). Once I put

him on a diet which did not include these items, his eczema cleared up.

If her child is not on a gluten free caisen free diet, she should try this

first. I have not had to do anything for my son's very severe eczema once I

took him off the gluten and caisen.

Of course, in the mean time she should try some other suggestions for giving her

child relief - maybe oatmeal bathes or something - because the gluten free

caisen free will probably take a little while to clear up.

Low dose naltrexone. It helps modulate the immune system.

She did have testing done a year or so ago. I don't know about results on

foods, but she is allergic to just about every tree there is. Their allergist

said if she ever had a chance to do a school / work study in Antarctica, she

should go!!

As already noted, eczema's usually food-related. For a long-term (and

fairly quick) solution, get NAET, an allergy-elimination therapy.

NAET is also excellent for anyone who doesn't absorb nutrients properly.

Can greatly decrease the amount of other nutritional interventions you need

to do.

I know of a new product called TrueScience Anti-Aging Cream. People use it for

skin cancer, eczema, brown spots, and other things. You can look it up on the

internet or go to www.lifevantage.com/advanz2health and check out the videos.

The cream is not featured there but the pill is. The cream does on the outside

what the pill does on the inside. I saw a lady on You Tube that told about how

she has had eczema since she was 7 years old and now is free from eczema. She

could not hold on to things and it was very painful. She had it very bad. You

might try getting that on You Tube.

My mother has eczema some times. It comes and goes so we got her the cream.

There is a large brown spot on her checkbone that peels about every 2 months and

looks crusty. Well in only one application it started getting flesh colored in

the middle. Now after about 2 weeks it is mostly flesh colored in the center and

working its way out.

Hope this helps.
