Guest guest
Seeing your post: does everyone know that Dr. Kurt Woeller is starting an on-line advice DAN! dr service? $37. monthly and he will look at tests, make recommendations and be your on-line DAN! dr. google his website. It is a great idea. No membership, goes monthly for folks who don't have a DAN! nancy j From: Amy <waggersitter@...> Subject: New and need help with yeast Date: Thursday, April 15, 2010, 9:13 AM  Hello everyone! I am new to this group, and I love it so much. You guys have answered so many questions for me you don't know about! I really believe my son has some yeast issues, and the diet and enzymes have helped SO much, but I am wondering where to start with fighting the yeast for real!? I don't have access to a DAN! doctor yet, so we'd like to try the natural route to see what happens. HE's three years old and is pretty good about letting me hide stuff in his drinks. Any ideas you can share would be so appreciated! (maybe the incessant humming will cease and give his poor mom a break!) thank you, Amy

Guest guest
I've got three munchkins with yeast issues. We've been treating them for 5 months almost with diet. We did the first two weeks on diflucan, and had to do it again when each kid went on antibiotics. If you get the lab work from Doctor's Data...the poo test...they specifically test your childs yeast in a petri dish. They put little tabs of various yeast fighters natural and artificial and you get a chart saying what is most helpful for your child. My kids' all responded big time to grapefruit seed extract, unfortunately it caused them severe stomach trouble. Somebody posted about this the other day,and I'm ordering today at customprobiotics.com . They have specially formulated powder for autistic people. It has everything my DAN suggested and more. I gulped a little when I saw the price...$100 for the smaller bottle. Then I did the math...I'll actually be paying way less than what I've been paying now, and it's one powder instead of many pills. Our DAN recommended super high counts 250 billion or more of bifideobacterium, acidophilus, L rhamnosus, lactobacillus...and for my son saccromyces boullardi as well. For some reason she has a yeast that reacts badly witht he sacc boul...the DAN assumed I knew what she was talking about at warp speed:) I've also heard zinc is a BIG yeast combatent, but you need to consult a physician about dosage b/c too much can be bad. We're also taking cholostrum (look for a formula safe for dairy free diets)... it deals with yeast as well as the strep my kids have and some other cool stuff. We have a chain store here called The Vitamin Shoppe, they carry some of the stuff they sell online. They have a free frequent buyers program where you get a tremendous amount of money in gift certificates at the end of the year. With the amount we all spend on supplements the gift certificate will be HUGE.
Guest guest
Custom probiotics work great for our little guy and buing the bigger bottle is a better deal and it lasts much longer than the others and we've tried a lot.
