Guest guest
What is the " normal " amount of Vitamin A to be given to our children? We were giving our son 5 or 10 drops 2x/day of the Kirkman's Micellized Vitamin A. Yesterday, our neurologist warned us that that is way to much. A child his age should be getting 3000 (I don't know the units) max. And P is getting up to 100,000. Does this sound correct? Thanks,
Guest guest
That is close to the amount people use in the 2 day vitamin A protocol to address viruses. It is not recommended to go that high more than 2 days. Vitamin A is not excreted like some water soluable vitamins. I believe it builds up and is almost a month before it normalizes. I would suggest taking him off for 2 weeks. Overdosing on vitamin A is not good and can be toxic and dangerous . Hope this helps Vitamin A amounts What is the " normal " amount of Vitamin A to be given to our children? We were giving our son 5 or 10 drops 2x/day of the Kirkman's Micellized Vitamin A. Guest guest
> > What is the " normal " amount of Vitamin A to be given to our children? Depending on the child's age and a few other factors, anywhere from 2500 to 25,000 IU per day. If you are trying to eliminate measles virus, 400,000 IU per day for two days http://www.danasview.net/vitamina.htm > We were giving our son 5 or 10 drops 2x/day of the Kirkman's Micellized > Vitamin A. > Yesterday, our neurologist warned us that that is way to much. I gave my son that much for over a month, which is what told me he needed the high dose protocol. Check my link above for signs of toxicity. Guest guest
Just wanted to post this regarding the Vitamin A - from Jepson's book, " Changing the Course of Autism " He writes that Vitamin A should be taken in the –cis form and not the palmitate form, which Kirkman's Mycellized Vitamin A is. He writes that absorption of the palmitate form is impaired if there are mucosal or pH problems in the gut, common in autistic children. Vitamin A palmitate can deactivate the control switch of many metabolic pathways involved in vision and cell growth, can disrupt metabolism and hormonal regulation of lipids, proteins and glycogen.
