Guest guest
Hi a, My daughter has battled PANDAS for 18 months now. We have never tried colostrum for it - can you tell me where you found out about using it? It's my understanding that anything that bolsters the immune system isn't good for PANDAS kids, because there immune system is out of whack already. Their system is already attacking the body, so you want to minimize the immune boosters. Of course, you don't want another round of strep either. Kind of a catch 22. Hope this helps, Susi > > If PANDAS symptoms are caused by antibodies to strep, then would colostrum be helpful or harmful? > > I have read that colostrum helps fight strep, and I was wondering if it could cause some PANDAS symptoms as a result. > > Does PANDAS occur only with human antibodies to strep, or could it happen if the antibodies to strep come from a bovine source? > > I hope this isn't a stupid question. > > paula v. >
Guest guest
I was wondering what everyone uses as treatment for PANDAS. Would OLE help, and can I use it on a daily basis? Should I rotate it with another anti-bacterial, or just take periodic breaks from the OLE? My son is only taking enzymes at the moment. Would transfer factors or colostrum help in this case or be harmful? I believe the transfer factors help to modulate the immune system, but I do not know if they overstimulate it. I guess overstimulation of a faulty immune system would not be a good idea in this case. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. paula v. Guest guest
What is OLE? Sent from my BlackBerry Smartphone provided by Alltel [ ] Re: Pandas question >>since the very beginning we've all suspected PANDAS. For some reason testing for this is not easy. Each time he complains that his throat hurts I get him tested for strep but the tests always come back negative. Is it possible that he can still have PANDAS? The strep bacteria does not have to be in the throat. Many times it is located in other areas of the body. Are you doing just a throat culture? I eliminated strep with OLE. Guest guest
ronnimike - what do you mean by this " the reaction to 3lac and a couple other pros with strep like strains told me that the titers were wrong " . I've suspected PANDAS with my son but no doctor seems to agree, even though he's had strep infections in the past, and I was found to be harboring a strep infection that the doc had difficulty getting rid of. So, I feel that I have passed it on to my son. Plus, does Group B strep play into PANDAS in any way? > > > > Hello > > We have successfully removed all heavy metals from my son. It took us a good long year to do so. With a recent Porphyrin test the results were so awesome that our DAN said we are done with chelation. Sure the test confirmed no burden of heavy metals in his system, but most importantly it was seeing my son heal. We've done so much to get him where he is today and yet I can't help but feel that I'm missing the mark on something. I see his progress but now it seems that it is coming at a slower rate. Here's where I'm going with this...since the very beginning we've all suspected PANDAS. For some reason testing for this is not easy. Each time he complains that his throat hurts I get him tested for strep but the tests always come back negative. Is it possible that he can still have PANDAS? Our DAN also suspects he has it. With no concrete evidence that he does have Pandas we were told to give him the following : interfase plus biofilm enzymes, > > lauricidin, yeast-aid, and uva ursi. > > Can anyone please confirm if they've used these products for PANDAS and what kind of results you saw, positive or negative..I want to give them to him because I want nothing to intefere with a complete recovery but at the same time I dont want him to take supps for nothing. He already takes enough. > > > > Thanks! > > Heleni > > > > > > __________________________________________________________________ > > Make your browsing faster, safer, and easier with the new Internet Explorer® 8. Guest guest
Did he ever had a positive throat culture for strep at anytime past age 3?? As I understand it, that would be the factor as to whether or not he might have PANDAS. Upon which olive leaf extract can kill strep. I beleive Dana used OLE to clear her kids of strep infections. > > " Each time he complains that his throat hurts I get him tested for strep but the tests always come back negative. Interfase (as well as lumbrokinase and nattokinase) are intended to break down the biofilms but then you need pathogen killers specific to the strain of strep your son has. Muscle testing may be helpful to determine the right one. But Lauricidin is anti-viral and Yeast-aid is for candida. They are not likely to be helpful. Among natural antimicrobials, Olive Leaf Extract is know to be active against strep. Others are berberine/oregon grape, barberry, and some Nutramedix tinctures like Cumanda. > > PJ >
