Guest guest
I've been giving my son Olive Leaf 3 times a day for about 2 weeks. I've noticed that he seems so much more subdued--very quiet, no agitation, and quite still. It's actually kind of scary. He's usually loud, easily agitated, and constantly talking to himself. He says he's not sick and he has no symptoms of any illness. Is this a normal reaction when Olive Leaf is working? Any feedback is appreciated. Guest guest
Antivirals are necessary for our son to function well. Noises, vision issues, etc., a great deal of the " autistic " behaviors cease to be an issue as long as our son is taking antivirals for a viral issue we were finally able to identify via blood tests. Guest guest
Ha ha ha, this cracks me up because I had similar thoughts when I started my daughter on OLE:) I was like " this is just too good to be true, too easy...where's the catch? " . I think all of us parents have learned that nothing comes easy for our kids. My daughter had a really fast really good response to the OLE. We didn't have any yeast flare up from it either...and I was really worried about that. I haven't started my other two kids on it yet because I can't find a way to have my littlest one take it. I got her a liquid and boy does it look nasty. I have taken it myself though as an antibiotic and it works fantastically! It always works really quickly with no bad side effects that I can see. So, I think you and I just got lucky this time with it working so quickly and so well with our kids. Keep an eye out for negative side effects...but I think things sound ok

So your child can have a bad bacteria problem, or a virus problem. For virus problems, I was able to remove the OLE when I added the supplements that my son's body was lacking, so his body was able to control the viruses itself. Guest guest
Yes. It helps my daughter in similar ways when she has some bacterial issues. Don't be scared, but do be alert because once it kills off enough bacteria, you could be sending the child out of balance in the other direction. At that point you will need to cut back the olive leaf or cut it out, temporarily anyway. Don't forget to add in some probiotics. > > > > I've been giving my son Olive Leaf 3 times a day for about 2 weeks. I've noticed that he seems > > so much more subdued--very quiet, no agitation, and quite still. It's actually kind of scary. He's > > usually loud, easily agitated, and constantly talking to himself. He says he's not sick and he has > > no symptoms of any illness. Is this a normal reaction when Olive Leaf is working? > > > > Any feedback is appreciated. > > > > Sharon > > >

Guest guest
> did you notice an improvement when you did GSE with OLE.. ? how long until you noticed your results? I gave OLE for 2 years, until the viruses were sufficiently suppressed that I could correct his immune system and eliminate them [which required high doses of certain supplements]. The GSE was required because viral die off increases yeast. So yes, I noticed improvement with OLE/GSE. Then more improvement when I finally eliminated the viruses. Guest guest
Dana, I totally agree with eliminating virus (and other issues) in our kids. My question is, do you think the same can be accomplished through traditional anti-virals like amantadine and acyclovir? My son is on both and has been for over a year. Guest guest
is there a book that explains what to look for (signs when things are sufficiently suppressed) and then to tell what high doses of supplements to do? For example, my son had a massive herpes virus issue, because his body contained almost no lysine. So no matter how much OLE [or rx medication, if I had used that] I had given, his body would not have fought off new herpes exposures, because he had no lysine. Once I started giving him high doses of lysine, the existing herpes left, and his body was then able to fight off new exposures. Someone wrote a page for my site, that lists common symptoms. Doses are individual, based on what the child tolerates. http://www.danasview.net/virfile.htm Dana
Guest guest
I feel that danasview.net has been one of my most reliable sources of information, I have a viral child. I also like Jepson's book changing the course of Autism which is written peer to peer and in depth about the mechanisms of various supplements and treatments. Danasview.net is their family's story, their treatments as they are unfolding, what she learned because each of her kids was different and the various decisions she made along the way. It is an education. Guest guest
We are supporting immune function through other supplements (zinc, biotin, mag, Mito Restore, Advanced Neuro, Methyl Xcel, Vit D3) and the methyl B-12 cream, but how do you find out if your child is lysine deficient? We are just not seeing the results we would like on the anti-viral protocol and I am wondering if it might be something else like a lysine deficiency. Guest guest
Dana, How high you went on Lysine? I am giving 3 caps day, still he gets new expos really fast. He had a wart that did not go away with high dose vitamin C [which eliminated a lot of cold/flu viruses in his brain], so I tried lysine, which caused more gains. > We are just not seeing the results we would like on the anti-viral > protocol and I am wondering if it might be something else like a > lysine deficiency. My son was severely deficient in lysine, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin D. So if you are not giving any of those in relatively high doses, it might be any one [or more] of them. Guest guest
> Dana, > How high you went on Lysine? I am giving 3 caps day, still he gets new expos really fast. The most I gave my #2 was 3000mg 3x per day. The rest of us went up to 1500mg 2-3x per day. My son appeared to be getting worse before he got better. For example, about a month after I started the lysine, his feet developed the most nasty looking plantar warts I have ever seen. This lasted for 6 months. For myself, I developed a molloscum contagium condition behind one ear which lasted for approx 2 months. As viruses are leaving the body, they caused " typical virus symptoms " on the way out. So if you are seeing typical virus symptoms, that is a sign that the viruses are leaving the brain and coming out of the body thru more normal routes. Keep up the lysine, it eventually ends.
