Guest guest
Hi, I attended a seminar with , and have both books. Last year I saw great improvements with my son as I put him on Enzymes. I used Houston brand. I had to use them all the time. I also started using probiotics and Coromega, along with vitamins. The difference was incredible and I do not believe die off was an issue at all. After the conference, when I ran out of Houstons, I put on Digest Gold nad Glutenease. His stimming has actually returned...not as bad but I suppose I am dealing with die off now since they are a more powerful Enzyme?? I read about Bacteria, and tried giving him two Glutenease between meals and no Digest Gold and that seemed to really go well..No stimming. I suppose now Im confused on what to do next. Should I treat him as he has a bacteria issue. Not sure if he has a yeast issue....no symptoms in the book match him. Could Digest Gold be too powerful for him? Or should I wait it out for 2 weeks for the die off. I have not purchased any yeast fighting enzymes as again, Im not sure if he has a yeast issue. Or maybe he is sensitive to Papain? SHould I use Glutenease and go back to AFP Peptizes? Any insight would be very helpful! Enzymes have been a god sent. My husband did comment to me the other day that he does not stim until he takes Digest Gold... Thoughts? Kathy

It is possible, or it is possible that he does better with the HNI. Usually there is a 3 week adjustment period. If after 3 weeks he is not improving again, try going back to the HNI. > I read about Bacteria, and tried giving him two Glutenease between > meals and no Digest Gold and that seemed to really go well..No > stimming. He might not tolerate an ingredient in the Digest Gold. Dana
Guest guest
Thanks Dana, ok maybe I will stop Digest gold and go from there! Guest guest
hi Kathy I work for enzymedica's education department. Digest Gold is a very potent enzyme. You can try giving him 1/2 a capsule instead of a whole one. If you would like I can send you Digest samples. Digest Gold is 3x more potent than Digest. If you would like I can send you some samples of Digest. Feel free to ask me any questions. Guest guest
....I just thought more powerful the better lol and so that is not always the case! While more potent can be better, it is also something a person may not be able to tolerate right away, or ever. And 'what is best at the moment' may change over time as health improves (the goal anyway). So trying different things every 6-12 months may be beneficial. The Great Low-n-Slow Method was developed from the need to help those with very injured guts or sensitive systems because they couldn't start off with a high full dose. This approach was rather the opposite of what most enzyme vendors were recommending. Now most enzyme vendors are promoting the low-n-slow approach because it has been so successful in the initial healing process. Kudos to this group in helping with this guideline! Other supplements work this way too: probiotics, detoxification programs, minerals. Another thing to consider is what the GlutenEase alone between meals is telling you. For one thing, as a strong protease, it could be helping with pathogen control or general healing. Do you have any particular reason to suspect it is bacteria or yeast? Has your child has die-off reactions in the past that you could gage as a die-off reaction? One the flip side, if the Digest Gold is causing some stimming, this is very consistent with the initial adjustments which can happen in when more foods is being digested with meals. And each jump in enzyme potency or enzyme dosing tends to bring another jump in adjustment and then a corresponding jump in improvements. All of these are ideas to look at. I often look for patterns of similar type reactions a person may have. . > > > > > Hi, > > I attended a seminar with , and have both books. > > > > Last year I saw great improvements with my son as I put him > on > > Enzymes. Guest guest
Hi Thanks... Last year when I started enzymes, we used AFP Peptyze and HN Zyme. He had no reaction as far as die off, he instantly improved but I was giving it to him 4-5 times a day. In about 6 months he was doing really well...Last fall is when I went toyour seminar....and figured I would try the digest gold and glutenease when I ran out of Houston. Slowly his stimming became more noticable. So I dont think he has a history of die off. I was impressed that I never experienced it with the Houston...... But they Digest gold/Glutenease are definitely stronger..... He also takes kirman probiotics and Coromega along with brain child vitamins. I just am trying to figure out my next step Nothing really strikes me about bacteria or yeast, but I just dont know if that is missing.... Guest guest
Oh I did forget to say that I do see improvements with even though his stimming has increased...but I cant say if that is his RDI therapy or the enzymes...
