Guest guest
Coconut milk is high in fat and very good for you. Allergic to soy? I've heard hummus good too if a chip/cracker kind of dipper. Peanut butter maybe? Tammy DD has PANDAS related anorexia - HELP My 10 yr old daughter, has anorexia related to her PANDAS. Has anyone ever had this happen to their child? I want to add butter and cream back into her SCDish diet. Do they contain casein? Everyone has a different opinion. I cannot do a yogurt starter because of the s. therm probiotic. It just aggravates her PANDAS. I need to put weight on her quickly, and cream is the only thing I could think of. Thanks, Susi
Guest guest
And you can also add Ghee, which is butter with all of the milk products boiled away, leaving you with just the fat. You'll find jars of ghee in health food store. Miriam From: tkuhn1@... Guest guest
Do you supplement her with zinc? I've heard that zinc deficiency is often at the heart of anorexia, and maybe the PANDAS somehow caused a zinc problem? It's worth a shot. And yes, butter and cream both have casein- less than in fluid milk, but it's still there. Can you make kefir, or does that have s. thermophilis too? -Sierra > > > > And you can also add Ghee, which is butter with all of the milk products boiled away, leaving you with just the fat. Guest guest
I remember reading an interesting few pages on anorexia and sensory issues in the book TOO LOUD TOO BRIGHT TOO FAST TOO TIGHT. Might be worth checking out of the library. Good luck. My heart aches for you. - paula in pa
