Guest guest
Dear all, I'm not happy now, yet I am thankful. Some of you may know that had already been a participant in the MyVax trial (a vaccine) for chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He was a participant before we learned about LDN. The trial was to have gone on for 1 year (16 treatments over 1 year). was about midway in to the process when he began taking LDN in October of last year. There was also an NHL arm of the study. That study ended just a few months ago. The problem in weighing the outcome of the trial is that the FDA wanted the results immediately. The kicker is that it was well known that the participants should not expect to see their immune systems rallying enough to begin cell kill for 12 to 18 or 24 months, though closer to 18 to 24 months was more likely! The FDA denied approval for the vaccine based on the data it received from the MyVax manufacturer at the 12-month mark - when little if anything was expected! There's not much out there that can cure or even control cancer. MyVax had a chance and is almost entirely without risks, especially when compared to chemo or bone marrow transplants. Now back to . Although was handling the vaccine quite nicely, as were most, there was no indication that any goosing of his immune system had occurred as a result of taking the vaccine. That may in part have been due to his dreadful markers, indicating aggressive disease. But now let me make this letter LDN-related. Although the trial was a very worthy trial, in my opinion, I have believed from the time began to take LDN that it would be the LDN that would make a difference in his life - not the vaccine. That is why I am thankful. Thankful to Dr. Bihari, thankful that I learned of LDN on the cures for cancer list, thankful that I can manage a computer well encough to search further and now thankful to all the LDN sites that I've found. But I hurt for all the NHL and CLL people, those now diagnosed and those in the future, who will not have the option to take a vaccine which I believe would have been a blessing to many. And I hurt for all those who have not or will not learn of LDN and for those who do hear but will not listen. Warm wishes to all, Jan cc:LDN-4-cancer
