Have you specifically heard of enzymes replacing FAILSAFE? My family

did a similar diet (low histamine, in addition to GF/CF) and from my

understanding of why FAILSAGE works, I can't imagine how enzymes could

replace it. It's not a diet of eliminating food that doesn't get

completely digested, like GF/CF. Also, enzymes only replace the GF/CF

diet for some people- for some people (like my son) he needed to be

absolutely 100% GF/CF even on enzymes (the enzymes did help him so he

did take them). We're now on SCD and he no longer seems to need

enzymes (the amine issues are much improved too).

One theory of why FAILSAFE works is that many of the foods that you're

avoiding are either toxins or are actually detoxers, but when you take

in something that detoxifies, you often get a worsening of symptoms at

first as the toxin is released back into your blood from your tissues.

Epsom salt is also a detoxifier, so if it is helping then if you want

to take another step maybe you should look into further detoxing and

removal of toxins from the environment? It sounds like that is

working really well for you so far.
