Age, weight? Tammy AFP -how to give?? hi I just got my alpha peptizyde enzyme from houston(took almost 5 weeks to reach to me..long story).They are capsules.Just wondering how to give them to my son who cant swallow capsules.Any advie please?? They say one capsule per meal.It means he has to take 3 capsules if he is taking 3 meals?? I would recommend you call them anyway and try and get some chewables. You might save yourself a ton of headaches! In the mean time, go by the dosing chart. Start slow. You can look Houston Enzymes, just google on the internet. Their products are all listed. We use the chewables, kind of taste like sweet tarts. Guest guest Posted December 10, 2008 Report Share Posted December 10, 2008 I am very surprised it took so long; they have always sent my order out the same day and I had it 2-3 days later. They will send you samples of the chewables and get them to you quickly. We used them for a while outside of hte house but since they have corn in them I try to avoid them now. But you can open the capsle and mix into juice. That is what we do. We were using the powder...just switched over to trienza and now we use the capsel and open it into juice. Never had an issue. The school nurse also gives it to him this way. Some parents sprinkle it on food or mix into applesauce. I just cannot be very hot food.
