Guest guest
Can't help with the question, but it interests me as well as I took not only a baby asprin but heprin. My son has severe senssory processing/intergration disorder, borderline ASD B4 biomed, but not now. He was never vaccinated. I have asked a DAN! / nuropathic doc if heprin could have caused his problems, but he did not think so. didn;t ask about the baby asprin. i had not heard of it contributing to vit K definincy, but I had one as a child and was given vit K. Hummm. gotta do some research of my own. please post anything you find out. I will likewise as well. thakns, denice bmansini <bmansini@...> wrote: Hi, I just found out some info about vitamin K. Apparently one reason it is used is for kids that have high oxalic acid, which my son with ASD has. During my pregnancy with him, the dr determined I had lupus anticoagulant (blood was coagulating leading to previous miscarrigages) so I was required to take a baby aspirin every day of my pregnancy. Since aspirin contributes to vit K deficiency, which I read in the files of another board (I think autism mercury board) I wonder if vitamin K will help my son for that reason also. I read that aspirin blocks vitamin K and this can lead to a number of problems, with developmental delay being one of them, along with osteoporosis, and several other issues. Does anyone have any experience with this or success with vit K? Our DAN has suggested we supplement K2 because of the high oxalates on his test and she thinks some oxalates have collected in his eyes (some eye poking going on) Thanks for any input!! --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Guest guest
I had to take baby aspirin during my pregnancy and have a child on the spectrum, too. I read the link on the mercury and autsim message board. Oh wow! This is interesting. It said the aspirin blocks the vit k from getting into the blood. My son has sensory processing disorder and borderline mild autism, too. Please email me offline. I have found some info on this and would like to compare biomed stuff if it's ok. > Hi, > I just found out some info about vitamin K. Guest guest
I had to take heparin shots and baby aspirin for the first 7 months of my pregnacy with my twin daughter. Both of them have been diagnosed as PDD-NOS. I did the same for my youngest son who is showing no signs of PDD. I took the aspirin and heparin due to 3 miscarriages I had after I had 2 successful pregnacies with no problems. I thought all babies get vitamin K after they are born. Guest guest
> Does anyone have any experience with this or success with vit K? I used vitamin K for two of my kids. One needed it to prevent nosebleeds while taking fish oil. The other needed it for proper absorption of calcium. >>she thinks some oxalates have collected in his eyes (some eye > poking going on) I don't know much about oxalates, but eye poking can be caused by calcium deficiency, and vitamin K helps in the absorption of calcium. My #1 will grind his teeth without vitamin K. Dana
Guest guest
That is interesting I also took baby aspirin while trying to conceive and for a month or two into the the pregnancy due to a previous miscarriage. > > Hi, > I just found out some info about vitamin K.
