Guest guest
He she getting " sick " or just making a " stink " about the quantity of pills. Because if there is an upset tummy, something isn't agreeing with her. I'd back off and readd one by one in a weeks time or more if needed. I have to say, I take individual vitamins myself, but haven't found a multi, have tried 2 lately, that doesn't make my tummy upset after about 2 hours. That reminds my, need to try the adult Kirkman Labs ones I just got him! My oldest takes 20 in morning. Yeap, a ton. My youngest, haven't counted buy I'm guessing 10. I do about 8 in the morning. No tummy issues here. You could always make your own by doing your own capsules. So understand. I fact of life here. At least for more years to come! Tammy Back to Basics- multivitamin I am trying to consolidate my daughters pills. The sheer amount is making her sick to her stomach in the mornings. Can anyone recommend a good multi that might possible have some of these added in? She also takes CoQ10, DMAE, L- Tyrosine, at least 1000 IU Vit D, Phosphytydserine, PhosphatidylCholine, acai berry, and milk thistle. She also takes SPEAK, digestive enzymes and probioitcs.. Whew! Thanks! Keri
Guest guest
No - she never says a word about the quantity...We've been doingthis soo long..i am so confused as to why now her tumme is upset. Maybe she doesn't need quite so many or at such high doses? I hesitate to change- her NutraEval from Genova came out perfect (finally) What a great , great test! Guest guest
Great news! Time to start over and see what it is that's bothering her tummy. You'll find it. We do Kirkman Labs for my nt son. Some may no like it because it has iron. He seems fine with it. I like the strength of it. The children's multi is nice too. I like them because he has a ton of food allergies and does great on their vit hypoallergenic ones. Tammy Back to Basics- multivitamin >> >> I am trying to consolidate my daughters pills. It might be time to eliminate one or more of them. I would try dropping all [or most] of them, wait a week, then add back one at a time. Or, buy large sized empty capsules and make your own capsules. I do that for my kids also. Dana
Guest guest
The presciption pills she takes are Galantamine, Lamictal and Guanafacine (Tenex)... could these make her feel ill? Guest guest
I'm not sure what Galantamine is, but Lamictal and Tenex can cause stomach upset. They list that as one of the side effects but don't say how to treat it. The side effects usually go away after a few months
Guest guest
Any pill can make you feel ill. I've personally taken prescription pills that my stomach just could not take, anti-inflammatory. Kind of the pregnant morning sickness feeling. It isn't fun! Guest guest
I was trying to look up SPEAK digestive enzymes...we're looking for a good one. I couldn't find it with google. Would you mind telling me where you get them? Thanks
Guest guest
Hi, Some cautions on this, which your pharmacist should be able to tell you the needed information about: Before discontinuing things, make sure suddenly stopping 1 or more of them would not cause a nasty reaction. Some things need to be tapered to not cause big problems, especially if they are supporting a life-sustaining function or are psychotropic. I am not familiar with the drugs you mentioned, so don't know what they do. Before opening capsules and combining them, find out 2 things: #1: if they are time-release/sustained-release and if so if the delaying feature is in the capsule itself or in/on the granules therein. If the former, the capsule should not be opened for any reason. If the latter, it would probably be ok.. #2: If combining them would cause a cross-reaction, either increasing or decreasing the effectiveness of 1 or more of them. Hope this helps. The only one I have heard of is Lamictal and that one causes severe problems for some people. You should research each one of those, see what you find out. Guest guest
Sorry to jump in, but my son takes empower plus from Truhope. It is expensive for me but it is a vitamin and mineral supplement as opposed to taking drugs for adhd, bipolar disorder, depression, etc. The psychiatrist thought he was bipolar, I dispute that but I don't dismiss taking empowerplus because it does no harm. Check it out at: http://www.truehope.com/default.aspx and they do have counselors to assist you. VickiB > > I am trying to consolidate my daughters pills. That is a possibility. >>The newer > supplemts added were L- tyrosine, DMAE and Phosphytidycholine.... Tyrosine was excellent here, but needed a lot of folic acid and carnitine for proper absorption. DMAE caused problems here. Never used the third one. Dana

Guest guest
SPEAK is a fish oil not a digestive enzyme. It is made by PharmaOmega www.Speech-Nutrients.com <http://www.speech-nutrients.com/> On Sun, Apr 11, 2010 at 11:26 PM, S.
