Guest guest
Homeopathic remedy for us is nux vomica. It is not a laxative, but to be taken to get them regular. You can read about it at txoptions.com We get all our homeopathic remedies there. Have not used antibiotics or other painkillers or meds in 4 years. The stuff works with no worry of side effects.....They also have a remedy finder, as well as a childrens section for sleep, calming, cough, colds, flu etc... Has been so valuable to our family.. But Nux vomica, is one of the big constipation ones...Vitamin C (pure ascorbic acid) is also good for regulation. And again not a laxative, but cumulative effect.... Jen natural constipation remedies Hello: My 10 year old boy has severe constipation. So much he has caused on himself something called " rectal prolapse " wich means that everytime he goes to the potty, he pushes so hard, his intestines pop in and out. Sounds really horrible, but he is not in pain, still is a serious condition and looks really ugly. I'm trying to find natural remedies for his constipation, so when he goes, he doesn't have to push so hard. i don't necesarilly want him to go more often, just make it easier for him to go. Miralax, benefiber and all these kinds of fibers turns him into the devil's child. Its incredible how much these things afect his mood. A friend told me to fix a little bit of aloe vera juice, with papaya juice several times a day. It doesn't seem to be working. I also tried to give him prune juice but this just gives him diarrea, even if i do it gradually and in small doses. Anyone got any more ideas? Thanks, Fabricia. Guest guest
Katy, wanted to send this message, but could not get it go thru, so I am forwarding it for her--- Fabricia---- I wanted to comment on the 10 year old with constipation problems. We use melted coconut oil with our 8 year old from 1 tsp every other day to 3 TBSP everyday. You just have to find your dose. We melt it in a small measure cup inside a larger cup of hot tap water. It'll melt at about 98 degrees. High quality coconut oil (organic) doesn't have much of a taste. I like the taste of it. It can cause loose stool but mustly it just makes it soft and slippery so if the child says he has to go...he has to go NOW. I've experienced it myself. Guest guest
L carnitine helps here. Acetyl L carnitine won't work for constipation here. You can start slowly, my 40 pound child takes up to 1000mg or 1200mg a day (divided doses) I also give oxypowder when the l carnitine is not enough. Carrot juice also helps, with spinach or other greens It has to be done with a juicer, the fiber won't help. Prune will cause diarrhea here. > > Hello: > > My 10 year old boy has severe constipation. Guest guest
Hi Fabricia, Our son had severe constipation alternating with loose motion and this went on for a long time. the stool that came out used to look like goats droppings - small round balls. Things got a little better after we started the GFCF diet but still had problems and we used Oxy powder all the time. Things improved tremendously after we started the SCD diet and now he passes motion smoothly - at least twice a day. He does eat a lot of vegetables and fruits, especially bananas. He also drinks home made almond milk and home made yoghurt (made from goat's milk).
