Hi ,

That book is great - it gives a ton of suggestions. One thing she suggests is

the " low and slow " method. Meaning, in the beginning giving very little of the

capsule to your daughter and slowly building her body up to more of the capsule,

maybe more times in a day, and so on. Although you do want to start your

daughter off with a broad-spectrum enzyme blend if it's too much for her tummy

right now DeFelice recommends one of these:

V-gest (previously was called Carbo, by Enzymedica)

Lacto (by Enzymedica) - particularly good for dairy intolerance

Zyme Prime (by Houston Nutraceuticals, not HN-Zyme Prime)

(that is from the website, www.enzymestuff.com) I wasn't sure if your daughter

is taking the HN-Zyme Prime or the regular Zyme Prime, she's recommending the

regular Zyme Prime.

I also would suggest to try giving her the enzymes with her food or her juice.

This may help with the nausea. Also, I'm sure the taste it leaves in her mouth

isn't too good. Alot of parents will mix them with applesauce or even jelly and

give their kids toast with jelly. That website gives a list of ideas you can mix

it with.

It's also possible her nausea is die-off reaction. I'd try staying at the dosage

for a few days without increasing it and seeing if she feels better. If she

does, you could slowly increase the dosage, keeping in mind the " low n slow

method " . If still after a few days of the same low dosage, I would decrease it a

little and try that for a few days.

I hope this helps you guys out. Hopefully your daughter gets eating again soon!

taking vital-zymes by Klaire labs but stopped when we started SCD last October.

I tried an SCD enzyme product from GiProHealth but it crushed her appetite and

made her nauseous. Last week I started very small amounts of Zyme Prime from

Houston and having the same result. Plus, she said she's having stabbing pains.

I take them out of the capsule and give it to her from my finger. She's hardly

eating.

suggestions for such a formula that is also SCD legal?

Hi ,

We started my son on ProSol Digestive Enzymes, which you have to get through a

physician, which I think are milder (not positive though), as the nurse at my

son's pediatricians office had told me that if we wanted to use Klaire to only

give him half because they are so strong, but that I could give him a whole one

of the ProSol, they are chewable as well. I crush them and put them in juice and

he's been taking them just fine. Hope you find one that works for you.
