Guest guest
My youngest has his 3 yr checkup this week. For now, he is not showing dev delays (preschool eval), but did have 1 month in early intervention. I believe he has a yeast issue, starting this past fall with antibiotics for inner ear fluid. He is on Trienza, probiotics and biotin. So when they ask at the dr, what meds is he on, do I tell him that I have taken him off allergy meds and am doing supplements? At least with my oldest, I can say he has autism... How do you deal with negative reactions from regular pediatricians?

If I am asked further, I say " I use vitamins and naturals for health maintenance " . Usually that is as far as I go. Dana
Guest guest
You tell them what they are on and tell them that you would like to try this first. If they have a problem with you doing this find another dr. allergy meds do nothing but make you more comfortable they don't solve any problem so the dr should not be adamant about the allergy meds. How is he doing on the supplements? Sometimes marked improvement is enough to convince a leary dr. They need to know what they are on in case of injury or illness so they can prescribe appropriate treatment options that will not interfere with the supplements. -Undiagnosed Asperger's Syndrome Stay at home mom to 3, Wife to -6-6-02-Autism Spectrum, the light of my life Katy-11-19-03-undiagnosed genetic syndrome that includes cleft palate-Pierre Robin Sequence, scoliosis, heart defects, short stature, low muscle tone, developmental delay, oral defensiveness, g tube fed part time-working on oral feeding, slightly dysmorphic features, and my joy J.D-no issues except he is totally in love with mommy, cutest baby in the world visit my blog http://busiestmommyinamerica.blogspot.com " If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart!
