Guest guest
Your pediatrician can refer you to someone who can test him and give you a diagnosis, but you really need to get him on the diet. Food is a HUGE part of behavior issues. You can also add digestive enzymes which will help digest gluten and casein. They will help too. Diet is HUGE HUGE HUGE with our kids.  nancy j a child is diagnosed with asd every 20 seconds From: elaine boby <elaineboby@...> Subject: help w adhd and aggression " andi " <andi-adi >, " biomedical " <illinoisbiomedicalkids >, Date: Thursday, August 26, 2010, 7:47 AM  Hello, My 5 yr old adhd son has been behaving terribly at kindergarten. They say we need a diagnosis to get services. He also has vision issue and we are hoping to start therapy for them. He is not gfcf but takes the following supps; B vitamin supplement, multi, trienza, carnitine, and fish oil. Guest guest
No we have been using an amino supplement called Neu Bcalmed for a while. I think there is something to the school environment in particular that he can't handle so I will start with that and work on diet and supplements as well. He takes trienza but could of course eat better. Thanks for the help, Elaine > > My daughter cannot tolerate extra b vitamins. Guest guest
For us aggression = bacteria, OLE is great for bacteria but you should also have a good probiotic in place and/or increase what you already have in place. I agree you need to look at his diet. Trienza was not the greatest for my kids. It made them hyper. We like Digest Gold or Digest gold Plus Probiotics better. What's the vision issue? FWIW my son gets visually averse (I call it) not sure what the correct term is but he is unable to sustain his gaze when he has a PANDAS flare -- PANDAS is strep which is also a bacteria. Watch him this year to see how he reacts when other kids get strep. > > Hello, > > My 5 yr old adhd son has been behaving terribly at kindergarten. They say we need a diagnosis to get services. Guest guest
> My 5 yr old adhd son has been behaving terribly at kindergarten. They say we need a diagnosis to get services. He also has vision issue and we are hoping to start therapy for them. He is not gfcf but takes the following supps; B vitamin supplement, multi, trienza, carnitine, and fish oil. The B vitamins, multi, and carnitine will tend to increase yeast. It appears you need to increase [or add] a yeast protocol. http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm Dana
Guest guest
I was going to say the same thing. I know that diet can seem impossible. If the B Vit. is new that could cause a problem as well.
Guest guest
My vote is to get him on the gf/cf diet right away. It may not explain why he is suddenly aggressive, but it will probably make a huge difference. Take it from a mother whose ADHD son was arrested in 2nd grade as a result of a dodgeball incident at recess. The gf/cf diet can have a profoundly positive effect on behavior........but warning: things might get a little worse before they get better. (Like a heroine addict coming off herione.) Also, you may need to add an antifungal to speed along the process. Don't wait. The earlier you start the diet the easier it will be to adapt. Do it now while you are still in control! Guest guest
I forgot, he started OLE a couple of weeks ago, but I could increase. He swallows pills which is a godsend. He has a lazy eye and cannot see out of one eye. He wears glasses but doesn't have depth perception and I think it affects him. I will try to get him gfcf, I was hoping that him going to school would give me more time for cooking Oh well, best laid plans. At any rate, I am not freaking out any more and this behavior is not how he is all of the time, the common denominator is the classroom. This doesn't mean I don't intend to pursue biomedical treatments, just that therapy may need to happen as well. He is realizing lately how different his brother is and that is a big source of stress. All around our stress level has been high with summer, a running boy with Autism causing his usual problems, and my husband is on crutches with a knee injury. You know when you have a horrible week, and then the next week is even worse? Well heres hoping this week is better. Thanks to all, Elaine > > > > Hello, > > > > My 5 yr old adhd son has been behaving terribly at kindergarten. They say we need a diagnosis to get services. Guest guest
Really? He had an infection in this eye 2 times when he was a baby, but has never had any vaccines. I have never tested him for metals but he probably is elevated for lead because my other son is. Something to think about, thanks Dana, Elaine > > I forgot, he started OLE a couple of weeks ago, but I could increase. He swallows pills which is a godsend.
