TMG & sleep

I am posting to see if anyone has had the side effect of much improved

sleep with the introductin of TMG. In four days, (since starting) my

son has taken long naps and slept well with no headbanging at night.

Not that I am complaining, I am just very curious. My son has been

headbanging since he was one! All that I have read seems to state the

opposite effect or even hyperactivity with the addition of TMG.

We are Gf/CF for over six months now. Taking calcium, kids multi-

vitamin (relatively new to us from Kirkman), Tri-enza,Candex and a

probiotic.

I really just want to understand how this could be happening and why.

Any thoughts on this? Clearly it seems we are onto something. I just

don't know what or why.

i just started my daughter on TMG about 3 or 4 days ago, only at half

a capsule for now. i wish i had your luck regarding the sleep

issues! she goes to sleep great, but wakes up 2 or 3 times a night

to crawl into bed with me!! how can i stop that?? also, i give her

2.5mg of melatonin at bedtime. anyway, glad to hear about the sleep

issue!

This can happen with adults who have phenol issues. Most phenols and

B vitamins and things like TMG can cause lethargy [chronic fatigue]

instead of hyper

I know for a while I took my vitamins in the evening, to help me

sleep. Once my phenol issues were resolved, they caused energy and

" awake " instead of fatigue.

Thanks Dana -

We have been using Trienza which has a half dose of No phenol in it,

but I really hadn't gone after the phenols so much. He has at least

4 or 5 of those symptoms you listed. We just got new vitamins too as

the ones we had used artificial colors.

Dark Circles

Night waking

headbanging

nightwaking

inappropriate laughter

The laughter I had attributed to yeast. The TMG is new to us. How

quickly can yeast build with TMG and what do you recommend? It's

amazing as the further you think you get into all this you keep

finding new stuff to figure out.

Thanks for your insight.

Laughter can be yeast or phenols. In fact, most of what you wrote can

be yeast or phenols, or both

With the first dose. I controlled yeast with biotin and GSE, altho

GSE is high phenol so give it with No-Fenol enzyme, or just start with

the biotin.
