Guest guest
Maybe she has a citrus allergy From: <alyricss@...> Subject: viral response to GSE Received: Tuesday, February 3, 2009, 6:13 PM Should GSE cause a cold sore or herpes flare up? I gave 10 drops of GSE - per the bottle instructions to my dau and she immediately broke out w a huge cold sore the next day. Which I eventually hit w 1 Valtrex to get rid of it. The next time I tried it w her I gave her about 5-6 drops and she got another mild cold sore I took about 8 drops this week and got a cold sore the next morning - and I never get cold sores What is this? I thought GSE was supposed to boost your immune system to help you suppress things. Thanks
Guest guest
Okay, this may be a little bit from left field, but supposedly one thing that was presented at the DAN! conf in October is that yeast (while it does wreak havoc on our bodies) can also serve a protective function, surrounding and isolating damaging things in our gut, such as heavy metals, and maybe viruses? The theory is that this is why yeast tends to flare up so much during chelation- the yeast is actually trying to surround and isolate the metals that are coming out. Since yeast also tends to flare so bad during anti-virals, I wonder if the same mechanism could be at play? Regardless of why this is happening, maybe you would do better on a different anti-fungal? It also sounds like maybe a stronger anti-viral protocol might be a benefit? It's amazing how much viruses can be responsible for- my son's ASD symptoms seem to be largely from having HHV-6 in his brain (that and yeast). Maybe the GSE is boosting the immune system- these things often get worse before they get better as our bodies are able to mount more of an attack on the pathogen. -Sierra > > Should GSE cause a cold sore or herpes flare up? It might have been an intolerance to the GSE. Where was the cold sore located? And did the Valtrex help? If in fact it was herpes, give lysine. Lysine elimnated herpes virus here, including from the brain. > What is this? I thought GSE was supposed to boost your immune system to help you suppress things. It eliminates yeast overgrowth. It can help some viruses but not others. Dana
Guest guest
Ok now I'm confused even more. I thought GSE was used as a general boost to the immune system and also as a yeast fighter. I am sort of wondering if what we are seeing is like die-off. I don't know the mechanism of how GSE works - just read some more stuff on the internet but its going to take a 2nd read - too technical
Guest guest
Die-off does not usually occur as a viral outbreak. GSE is an antibacterial/antifungal, thus often used to treat yeast, urinary tract infections, etc. It's not generally used as an immune enhancer and haven't read info that suggests its effective as such. > > Ok now I'm confused even more. Guest guest
Thanks Dana You are correct - the Valtrex brought it down immediately. She has no allergies to citrus - eats it without any effect. The thing that I noticed, and I think I wrote this, is that all 3 of us got an outbreak the next day after GSE - and we are not biologically related so its not inherited. And the same thing happened the 1st time I tried it a few months ago. I am thinking viral stimulus but I have not been able to find information that says that GSE causes herpes or other viral outbreak. Can you have a viral die off like yeast does? Thanks Now to dosing lysine

Can you have a viral die off like yeast does? GSE did not affect herpes here, only lysine [and OLE and Virastop to some extent] did that. However, YES! There is such a thing as viral die off. My son experienced that for 8 months, as herpes came out of his brain. [Two years for other viruses.] Viral die off causes a LOT of yeast, at least it did here.
