Vicks - Need your knowledge my son has virus or influenza :(

I can 2nd putting Vicks on his feet to stop coughs.  I read that on this list or

another a few months ago and thought it was crazy but tried it with both my kids

and myself when we got sick in the fall.  It really does work!  At bedtime

I rubbed Tea Tree Oil on our feet first, then a good layer of Vicks and then

socks.  Coughing stopped within about 10 minutes and none of us required more

medical help than the Tea Tree Oil which is antibacterial and antifungal.

 

Sorry I can't tell you where I read it but I did read that you shouldn't put

Vicks on the throat and chest because if there is congestion, the menthol tends

to block the congestion down into the chest.
