Guest guest
Dear list mates, My daughter is presently awaiting urine test results out of CHOP (Children's Hospital of Phila.) to test for a metabolic disorder of long/short chain fatty acid digestion problem. She has always had a problem digesting anything with oils and certain fats which cause her to become aggressive and self abusive after eating. In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions to help me help her while awaiting these results? Besides avoiding certain problem foods and oils, I do use various digestive enzymes and have started using Lypo Gold from Enzymedica for any foods whose fat content is a problem. However, they don't seem to work for absorption of essential fatty acids like Omega 3's or DHA. Thank you in advance to anyone who has already addressed this problem with their child or has info to pass on to me. My best,
