Echolalia after Virus? - crosspost

My DS (3yo) had a virus and was down with high fever for part of the

day for 10 days. Since then, he had been very echolalic - its not

functional- he repeats entire chunks from TV shows, and even

instructions from teachers, therapists, and me, from months ago. He is

typically very verbal and has social difficulties. He would repeat

some lines from TV before, but really only when he was stressed (very

rarely). Now its a whole lot and its all the time.

Could this be from the virus?

After the fever, I introduced coconut kefir and it has been great for

his stools. Even with the echolalia, he doesn't really seem like he

has 'lost' any skills.

Any thoughts on what is causing this, and how I can deal with it? I

thought yeast- but from his other behaviors and from the bowel

movements, it doesn't seem like yeast to me.

Thanks for reading, and for your thoughts on this!

For my son, this would have meant the virus he was fighting, ended up

in his brain. I used OLE, Virastop, vitamin C, and lysine to

eliminate brain viruses. The most effective supps were the vitamin C

and lysine.

Thanks Dana! Could you help with dosage? DS is 3.5yo and about 40 lbs.

We are not doing anything right now to tackle viruses. Are there any

indications/ symptoms for a 'viral' kid?

Thanks again.

I started most anti-virals at 250mg per day, Virastop at one capsule.

Be sure you have a good yeast protocol.

Here are some signs to look for
