Guest guest
What is the best dosing schedule and dose amount for GSE and oil of oregano for yeast? Is there and maintance dose verses high dosing for current yeast problems. How high can you go on dosing? 50 pound child? Thanks, Kelley I am having a difficult time with yeast during chelation and antibacterial treatment. From: danasview <danasview@...> Subject: [ ] Re: GSE Date: Sunday, October 26, 2008, 10:44 AM > i still need help with gse dosing. i asked a question a couple of days ago because ds has been stimming more in the past 3 weeks since starting gse. im only on 1 drop a day but just increased to 2/day. how do i know when to stop increasing? he only weighs 30lbs, but has a real problem w/ yeast. im not sure if this stimming is related to die-off, or if he isnt tolerating the gse. he doesnt seem to have any other problems other than the extra stimming. What are the stims? Do you still notice yeast overgrowth symptoms? If so, which ones? If you suspect he is not tolerating the GSE, you can try giving it with No-Fenol enzyme, or try oil of oregano instead. Dana

I would not use GSE for maintenance, unless you are also doing protocols that tend to increase yeast on an ongoing basis. >>How high can you go on dosing? 50 pound child? I have used quite a bit of GSE, depending on which protocols I was doing. My son did not tolerate OoO. Adding biotin allowed me to reduce the GSE dose. Guest guest
the only stim he has ever had was rigid fingers and toe walking at the same time. when excited he stands on tip toes and with rigid fingers shakes his hands at tv or whatever excites him. at 18 months when we first got dx he only did this once or twice a day. last month he does this alot more. when we eat, we frustrated. his bm are once aday now thanks to vitamin c, but even on 2 drops of gse a day we still have nasty bm, stims, acts drunk at night(starts laughing at nothing) spins around at night. thanks dana for taking the time to help me with this. sharon From: danasview <danasview@...> Subject: [ ] Re: GSE Date: Sunday, October 26, 2008, 10:44 AM > i still need help with gse dosing. i asked a question a couple of days ago because ds has been stimming more in the past 3 weeks since starting gse. im only on 1 drop a day but just increased to 2/day. how do i know when to stop increasing? he only weighs 30lbs, but has a real problem w/ yeast. im not sure if this stimming is related to die-off, or if he isnt tolerating the gse. he doesnt seem to have any other problems other than the extra stimming. Guest guest
GSE is powerful stuff..it kills EVERYTHING in the gut. You need to be able to get rid of the yeast without going overboard on it otherwise it will cause bacteria(aka the green stools). I had this problem with ds until i figured out I need to use the GSE with OLE - given seperately. And to ALWAYS keep the probiotics up before bed. It will kill almost everything, altho there is at least one strain of bad bacteria that it won't kill, because if you give the GSE when there is no yeast, then it does tend to cause a bad bacteria problem. It is also high phenol, so try giving it with No-Fenol enzyme. You might want to go back to the one drop. Dana
Guest guest
> > how often and how long can you stay on gse??? even if the symptoms go away > ?? does anyone use it as maintance? I gave GSE pretty much every day for four years, while I was chelating and doing anti-viral protocols, because those protocols tend to increase yeast. Once the yeast was gone tho, I used biotin for maintenance. Giving GSE when there is no yeast, tends to cause a bad bacteria problem. Guest guest
Yep took it for two years straight myself, and two and half years on my kid. Now we only need it ocassionally and with rounds. You can use it for a long time IF you are using probiotics to replenish the good stuff it kills. Prescription antifungals also kill off everything. But that is not mentioned often. Any antifungal or antibiotic should be used with probiotics. The risk of bacterial issues comes if you don't use probiotics. Gse is also a good antibiotic and we have used it that way as well, doing 10 days with it. But for the first two years or so, we could not go off it or the yeast came back worse. My son still needs gse, probably everyday, but he wont take it that often, so he gets if every other day, and probiotics every day. He still has the white tongue in varying degrees. Guest guest
I'm not sure how old your son is, but I started my 4yo on 1/4 tablet of Nutribiotic GSE 125mg, so about 30mg, which is equivalent to 3 drops of their liquid version. I thought it would be easier to teach him to swallow pills than to disguise the bitter taste of GSE. I started at 1/4 tablet once a day in the morning, and we're at twice a day, morning and evening. I read that it works better on an empty stomach, but that doesn't happen as he turns into a psycho if he's hungry. LOL. It's getting a little better I think. So far he has not had any negative side effects. I could probably up it to 3 times a day or up the dosage, but he still has a hard time swallowing these pills as they're cut up with jagged edges, so I think they get stuck in his throat sometimes. Guest guest
We do 10 drops in 6 oz of water, gargle and swallow. Most of our yeast is head and respiratory. But, you can take GSE pills and it works well too from what I've heard. We've started using pills here just recently, so I don't really have personal experience. Will in a couple months though. Guest guest
For a 151 lb boy we ramped up from one drop 1x a day to three drops 3x a day for two months then rotate to another yeast fighter.
Guest guest
> I bought some liquid GSE. It seems gooey instead of watery. Is that the normal consistency? Nutribiotic GSE is what I used. It was thick, not like water. It did tend to stick to the sides of the cup. >>In the past I have only used capsules, is the liquid a lot stronger? How many drops do you give for yeast control? In my experience, the drops are much stronger. However, the bottle of the capsules and tablets usually says one capsule/tablet is equivalent to 12-15 drops. In my experience, they were equivalent to more like 6-8 drops, so half of what it says. I would start with one drop and work up as required. Guest guest
Okay, how in the heck do you get GSE liquid into your kids? Mine tastes the first hint of it and refuses to drink the water or juice. I'm thinking about putting some in a tiny bit of liquid and then putting it in a syringe. How much liquid do you think is absolutely necessary to dilute it?
Guest guest
Be careful with the GSE! It can burn your childs mouth. We hide ours in baby food fruit like mango or peach cobbler. If you can mix a few drops into something sweet/tart that your child might eat, like yogurt, smashed fruit or smoothie, jello or anything that will mask the taste.  From: West <shanwest@...> Subject: GSE " " < > Date: Saturday, April 17, 2010, 10:09 AM  Okay, how in the heck do you get GSE liquid into your kids?
