Guest guest
Hello, I am new to the group, we have been doctoring my 5yr old daughter now for almost 4 years. She has a system that no one has ever heard of. So this is a gigantic hopeful step--- WE found our daughter lying in bed at 19months old, unconscious, ice cold, staring at the ceiling, when she did not wake up early as usual. WE thought she was dead and took her immediately to the ER, where after no blood flow, very low blood pressure, they were able to squeeze the blood out of her iv tube onto a sugar meter. And it was 17. They immediately rushed to get her glucose, where she revived in 45 seconds. Now up until this time she had not spoken a word, only grunted, was very shy, took 3 naps a day, slept all night, and clung to me like a bounce dryer sheet. The hospital thought she had swallowed one of my father's glyburide diabetes pills by accident, when she visited there home the day before. And that is what we all thought it was, then 3 weeks after this hospital stay everything changed. She spoke in full sentences, never napped, was awake 3 days at a time, screamed and cried all the time and became very aggressive and forward. And this has gone on for the last 3 1/2 years. But with one main problem, For some reason over the full moon periods, we find her unconscious or near unconscious in bed, with very low blood sugar. Sometimes we can revive her with full strength juice, or something very sugary but other times she just drops further and we again rush her to the ER for glucose. WE have been at every major hospital in our state, and they are all perplexed. Now we have put her on a GFCF diet this past January and did see behavioral and sleeping changes but not drastic. Her bowels and distended belly did go down. But yesterday we again spent all day at the ER since we found her with a 40 blood sugar again, and she still has temperature guage issues, massive sweating, plus other things... WE have since added probiotics, enzymes, liquid multi vitamins and B- 12 sublingal pills for under her tongue.( following DAN doc, Dr. Bock's book) For the first time she has slept thru the night in 4 years, seriously without screaming, yelling, and waking up 2-3 times a night. But the sugar problems still stand--has anyone ever heard of this or experience the same problem. The medical bills have destroyed our credit, and this has destroyed our family life. Any help would be more appreciated than anything . WE just want a physician to think outside the box. WE do believe alot came from her 1st MMR shot which was 3 weeks before her first incidence, and we do believe that her digestion is a biggie to her healing. But we just wonder if anyone is dealing with the hypoglycemia sugar issues that happen mostly over the winter months .. Jen
