Guest guest
Thank you for your help. *How would I know if she has trouble converting carotenes? She has symptoms of yeast since 2 weeks of age (now 2.5). We had thrush, when sleeping she would scoot/dig her head up the bed (especially on her belly), she would twitch when trying to fall asleep, the bloated belly, terrible sleeping with lots of waking and crying at night, spacing, loves to spin, sound/light change sensitivity, agression toward dogs after eating carbs, funky poop, and more. Things have gotten better since starting the enzymes but we still have work to do. Looking back at 9 months of age when I introduced solids is when she stopped trying to say things like bear, and then it just continued to get worse. I started with avocado and sweet potatoes; but things like carrots and apples constipated her. Grains I started at 14 months and used brown rice, but I didn't know then that my leaky gut/yeast(that I was unaware of at the time and ate lots of wheat and dairy) and the abx in labor caused her to have a leaky gut and yeast. So now I'm trying to ensure it doesn't happen with the next one, although I'm having stomach issues. Back to her yeast.. **If it is just yeast from the OJ, should I increase her candex or leave it alone? **And I have been giving 125mcg a day(not everyday, I slack sometimes) of Biotin, is this enough for a 29 pound 2.5 year old? Thanks again for all your help. You are my light in the dark. > > I've had my 2.5 year old old Enzymes (zyme prime and afp, > > occasionally trienza and healthforce nutritionals) since late > > September and Candex since October(1/2 pill 2x a day). Guest guest
> > Thank you for your help. > *How would I know if she has trouble converting carotenes? I removed everything from my son's diet that was orange and green [and a few reds and yellows]. He dramatically improved. Oranges, carrots, and peas were the worst. To correct carotene conversion, I gave vitamin C, zinc, and selenium. A book I have indicates that the conversion requires the first two, plus thyroid hormone. Selenium supports the thyroid, so that is what my kids needed for that issue. > She has symptoms of yeast since 2 weeks of age (now 2.5). That is not even USRDA, which is 300mcg. My son required 20mg [20,000mcg] 3x per day. Your child is much younger than mine was at the time, but you can probably increase the biotin to at least 300-400mcg, see if that helps.
