Guest guest
I am using Zyme Prime and AFP-Peptizyde and Klaire probiotics. I give the enzymes with all meals and sometimes with snacks depending on what they are. I give a 1/4tsp of both and 1/8 tsp of probiotics at bedtime. Allergies also kicked in, which he never really had before, but now is waking up with his eyes swolen. His words seem to have slowed some. Sometimes he acts like he has forgotten the words. He's mostly non-verbal, but he'll ask for the things he wants. I also started giving him Spectrum complete(kirkman labs vitamin) and calcium 1/4tsp in his almond milk once a day. He's been on enzymes and probiotics 2 weeks. Just a little nervous on how long i should wait on things. This is all new to me. Thanks Nadja danasview <danasview@...> wrote: > I'm new to this group, but i had a question. Is it normal for your kid > to become alot more active/hyper when starting enzymes? Guest guest
So you think he's allergic to his supplements? Stop and introduce one at a time and see if you can figure out which one. Go a week or two before introducing the next one. I'd start with the one you think is a problem first. My guy has problem with fruits, so like the Houston Chewables have strawberry flavoring, problem for us. Full body rash, threw up a little, nose going, fever. That is signs of a problem for us. Guest guest
The thing is, i don't even have an idea of which one it is, if it's an allergic reaction. He woke up sneezing, with a little runny nose, but i hadn't even given him any enzymes, or anything yet. I took him to the Dr. last week, she said it was allergies, plus a touch of pink eye. I don't think he had pink eye though, it wasn't as red as you'd think pink eye should be. She was going by the little bit of gook in his eye. Thats all gone now. I know people's allergies have been crazy this spring already. The doc told me to get Zyrtec and i had to go to3 different places to find it. The pharmacist said its been a busy few weeks. I'm hoping this is all it is. I think i found out the rash came from bubble bath. I usually use Aveno and i just got spongebob bubble bath, seems shortyly after he broke out a little with some tiny bumps on his chest and a few on his back and like 2 behind his ear on his head though, if you can get where i mean? Anyway,he's never been allergic to anything before. When starting enzymes can this sometimes happen where you didn't have allergies and now you do? Thanks for the advice! Guest guest
I'd stop the bubble bath and go with Epson salt bath. Good detox and healthy. I'd stop everything and introduce one at a time. With allergies it could be one, a combination of more and just a day in and day out thing. Once you can take it, then next bam, problem. That is the only way to know. I'm still in the mist of winter so seasonally allergies aren't an issue here in WI. But Clariton is also a good allergy med and might be cheaper if the seasonally allergy type thing is it. Also good old Benedryl dye free is great for allergies but only for short term dosing, not the best long term. Causes sleepy issues, not good. I understand it can take a couple weeks when starting enzymes for the body to adjust. We didn't have that issue honestly. Guest guest
I stopped the bubble bath, for sure. I will try Epson salt. He likes to taste the water, is it safe? To answer Dana's question about stimming, i think i might not have answered her. His stimming, is now: opening and closing all doors, cabinets, bedroom's, bathrooms, etc. Turning lights and ceiling fans on and off, jumping off tables, hand flapping(this had stopped a long time ago and now its back) bringing things close to his face in a back and forth motion and now all the sudden, the screams, high pitched, yell to be yelling and he laughs afterwards. He hasn't done any of these things since he was first diagnosed a year and a half ago. Now its all back with a vengence. It may be a combonation of things: spring break, starting enzymes, vitamins, cod liver oil, etc. He was quite happy to get on the bus this morning, but his sleep wasn't so great now either. He was sleeping great when we first started(2 weeks ago) and now the last 2 days, he's been up again in the morning hours. I'll probably drive myself nuts, trying to figure all this out. When starting enzymes, do you all the sudden become allergic to things you once never was? I may be wayy overreacting and it just may be good ole allergies, its been a mess out here in Texas. Thanks for all the advice everyone. Nadja Tamara Kuhn <tkuhn1@...> wrote: I'd stop the bubble bath and go with Epson salt bath. Good detox and healthy. Guest guest
Nadja - Do you have a good yeast protocol started? I think Dana would says in my house it sounds like yeast. I don't see these issues so hard for me. My guy like to suck on a wash clothe in the tub. I don't think a little is going to hurt. Much better than any soap product. Make sure he isn't allergic to the enzymes. That could be the problem. Try another brand. Go slow and introduce slow. Some times too, when certain things pollinate and the flowers start, certain foods can react with pollins. Like my mother can eat watermelon in the winter but during the summer in the highs of allergy season, watermelon is out. It's different for every person. Also rains can affect people. My husband, when it rains. I don't have any seasonal allergies so no personal experience. That's what makes it so hard in figuring out our little guys. Hard enough to figure yourself out! All we can do is do our best. Tammy Re: Re: Need Help: Stimming/very active 4 year old since enzymes I am using Zyme Prime and AFP-Peptizyde and Klaire probiotics. Guest guest
Thank you Dana for all your advice. These symptoms started about a week ago. I may drop them and do 1 at a time. I give him the enzymes with all meals and probiotics at bedtime. So we'll see. Nadja danasview <danasview@...> wrote: > I am using Zyme Prime and AFP-Peptizyde and Klaire probiotics.
