Hi Connie

Your body is used to the meds....it is very hard to control diabetes

just through diet, unless you are border-line diabetic which I don't

think you are. I also think Tatezi gave you excellent advice....baby

steps....I love it!! I've been there too, and there were days I thought

I did good just by getting out of the bed. One little step at a time.

I'm going to follow Tats advice and try to remember the baby steps when

I get over-stressed.....I tend to try and handle too much at once and

get bogged down and nothing gets accomplished....then I get depressed.

I just totally loved what Tatezi wrote....I'm keeping that email to read

everyday. Thanks Tats.

Hang in Connie.

Don't thank me....thank the therapist I saw many years ago when I went

through my 'great depression. " She's the one who pounded baby steps into

my head. And to this day, when life seems overwhelming, I focus on

taking a baby step...

It's not a test, per se, it is a lab in Colorado, I think where the tests

are run. You can even look up there website but I can't remember how they

are listed...maybe www.gsmd.com for Great Smokie Mountain Diagnostics. J

?

What is the " Great Smokies " test?

Coffee is very acidic and hard on the body. I drink green tea. the

caffiene is not " good " for you, but, the green tea has other benefits

that make it a far better choice than coffee.

I had to give up my black tea :( but have switched to Green Tea and I

don't really miss the black like I thought I would. The one I like best

for flavor is the Bigelow Japanese Green Tea, plain. I haven't had any

problems drinking it. Funny thing is I had been wanting to switch to

the green but " didn't really like the taste " compared to the black. Now

I can hardly remember what the black tasted like. Amazing what you can

adapt to when push comes to shove. I just tend to need a really hard

shove.....<g>

green tea comes in more varities than coffee. New tea, fresh from

central china... only good for a few months. that's the good stuff.

when its really fresh, its an especially powerful antioxident.

clears my sinuses within minutes of drinking it.

I think he was saying that he was leaving the group on someones else's

request. Something about being informed not to talk about his issue.

I thought a monitor talked to him but now I think he did get testy over

our responses and blew the scene.
