Guest guest
Dear Carol, There are sure days we all miss California, but then too I don't miss those 115 degree days in the summer in Modesto. Once the kids are out of high school maybe I can see us moving west for better weather, the cold is hard on me, keeps the back muscles extreamly tight, not painful, just always aware of my back. Two things that help me with that are an electric blanket on my bed and heated seats in my car. I also know with my body when the weather is about to turn, I get a dull ache like you have when you are coming down with the flu. I don't know if thats a result of all the back surgeries or the osteoporosis. I think if we went west again it would be to Oregon, we loved our time there, miss it daily. I love a night time snow fall, the quiet is beautiful, but the next day snow afterall for me is just work. [ ] ? I hear Denver airport is closed, and it's wrecking people's travel plans all over the country since it's a central hub for alot of flights. What about your husband, ? Any chance he'll get home for Christmas? They said on the news it would be closed until Monday or Tuesday. Then all the highways around that area are closed--snowbound. Carol V. (Doesn't it make you want to come back to sunny California? I don't think I could tolerate snow and cold!!! Yuck!! Pretty, but YUCK!!) I am on Synthroid and I take 112mcgs twice a day. If your levels are stable, then yes it is possible for you to lose the weight. I notice that when I ovulate, I get a lot of pain as well, but I also have PCOS so it could be either. When my levels are perfect, then my body seems to do what it should. I hope this helps. Guest guest
Thank you so much. I am definitely going to look at those websites. I have a question though. Since I have started Synthyroid I have noticed that my periods are regular, but when I ovulate I am in very bad pain, worse than on my period. Does anyone know why or what I could do to help it? Thank you so much, Blessings : )
Guest guest
Hi Kim, I emailed you privately as well, just in case you don't check back here, but in case you do check back here, please don't let crappy posts by crabby people screw things up for you. I'm assuming that it was red pill's post that you're referring to and if it was, you're absolutely right. It was pretty uncalled-for, I think. I think sometimes the " veterans " get a little annoyed with answering the same questions over and over again, but yanno...that's what support groups are all about. There are always going to be new members who don't know what's going on and regardless of how much research one does, nothing is a good substitute for first-hand experience. I'm fairly new, myself, so I am not able to answer all the hard questions, but there are plenty of veterans here, who are happy to help and anything that I can help with, I will certainly try to. I'm not around as much as I'd like to be, because of my work, school and parenting schedules, but I do what I can here and there. Hope you decide to stick around and eventually become a veteran, yourself! > > Im sorry I must have joined the wrong group, I am not looking for > sympathy from anyone and I am a strong person and will get myself > better, no doubt about that, but I thought this group was for helping > and understanding and learning, I guess I misjudged, but that happens > in life and you go on, sorry you feel as you do, but I would not make > someone feel as you do, but then Im a compassionate person towards > people. thank everyone for all their info. > kim >
Guest guest
Dear Kim, Please stay with us. You are important to us. I am in a minority here, as it is my husband who is ill, and in additon to that, he has cancer - a disease in the minority. Nonetheless, I've learned so much from everyone - even when a member is not in a teaching mode. It is all food. Regarding the letter that hurt (angered?) you, if at all possible, please try to over-look what seemed like sarcasm and try to glean the wisdom in the letter. I know it's hard when you're worried and new to ideas. Each of us on the list is a little different from the other, but for the most part, we have similar hopes and goals. This may help a little. I don't look at the person who wrote the letter that may have caused you distress as ugly or mean spirited - or anyone for that matter, though letters from time to time get a bit testy. To me, he has seems a bit of a character, having a wonderfully dry sense of humor and a person who seems unfailingly able to interject words to ponder. Actually, there have been times when I've laughed out loud when reading his posts. But you see, it's easier for me, because I have been sleuthing about for a very long time looking for answers. I'm not at the beginning of my quest or anywhere near. Please be patient, dear Kim, and stay with us. Again, we need you. And if in any way I've goofed in my choice of words, please forgive me, as my heart is with you. Warm wishes, Jan

Guest guest
-Hi . I finally figured things out. I found the surgery CD this morning and realized that it was the CD of my 6 wk xrays that I had asked my dad to send, not this surgery CD. I apologize for my fuddled brain. I will " again " ask my dad to make a run to the P.O. this afternoon and send the mystery CD to you. I found it to be helpful that week prior to surgery. It helped me settle down and get centered on the Big healing process ahead. Congrats on making the decision, camille -- In , " valerie_delaney " <vadrjd82@...> wrote: > > Hi Camille - No, I haved NOT received the CD. Guest guest
- Hi Camille! I haven't received the pre-surgery CD yet. I was just checking to verify that you did get it in the mail? Guest guest
-Hi . Yes, I did send it. My dad took it to the P.O. Tues.am, July 8. Sorry it's taking so long. The postal service can be so unpredictable. Surely, it will be there this afternoon or tomorrow. The last thing you need is to be worried about one more thing on these last days before your surgery. Hang in there. Here's my 2 cents worth: Anytime, anywhere, taking 3 long deep breaths will bring you into the moment, which is usually where we get relief. I'll keep my fingers crossed. peace to you, camille -- In , " valerie_delaney " <vadrjd82@...> wrote: > > > > - > > > > Hi Camille! > I haven't received the pre-surgery CD yet. Guest guest
My best advice is to get early antibiotic treatment to keep lyme from becoming chronic long term. The earlier the treatment of IV and oral antibiotics the best chance for a cure. I am in Louisiana but I'm sure you'll hear from others about LLMD in NJ. Check out www.lymeinfo.net and www.lymenet.org and www.islads.org                        God Bless................Kerry  ________________________________ From: Geri Logan <hotwheels@...> Sent: Tuesday, May 12, 2009 9:13:02 PM Subject: [ ] ? Hello Group, I need to learn more about Limes.I have so many things to ask... First of all we live in a very remote area.every one around us has had Limes . We have a Elk.Trophy farm just down the road.our deer ticks are so bad. My mother visits us and she also has Limes, she found out today, she has been stuffing for a long time thinking it was arthritis. My daughter is very ill and she has just broke out with a rash that is red then turns brownish purple. The docs are saying Sweets Syndrome it is a form of cancer but they are not sure and are still running tests. My family camped out here last summer...... ...could my daughter have Limes? She is so tired she can hardly function and her platelets are very high........ her body is very sore, she has a fever and chills. Guest guest
Geri: I'm so sorry to hear your family is in such distress. First off, I recommend you get a book called " The Lyme Disease Solution, " by Dr. Singleton. (http://www.lymedoctor.com) Lyme disease is very complex, and this book will walk you through the different things you need to know. Here are good sources of info about Lyme disease on the internet. http://www.lymedisease.org http://www.ilads.org http://www.canlyme.com http://www.lymenet.org http://www.lymeinfo.net http://www.lymediseaseassociation.org Unfortunately, regular doctors typically aren't much help when you are dealing with Lyme disease and co-infections (other nasty stuff also carried by ticks). You need to educate yourself about what's involved, so you can find the kind of medical help you need. Good luck. > > Hello Group, > I need to learn more about Limes.I have so many things to ask... > First of all we live in a very remote area.every one around us has had Limes . Guest guest
I will send your response on to her Thank You so much...... Geri To me, not being an MD with advice, but it sounds like she has the classical case of Lyme symptoms, in a very Lyme infested area! The rash you explain sounds similar to the 'stretch mark' rash of Bartonella/Babesia that i have, as I am a teen female with Lyme and co-infections! If you would like to contact me privately: horsegirl@... I have a lot of knowledge behind my ears and i think i may be able to talk with your daughter too. This is a very interesting illness, compact and confusing! it will take awhile for you to take in all the information you can, but for now the basic things are that the treatment is very inaccurate and it is hard to get diagnosed. if I were you, I would order, rent, or even borrow the movie called Under Our Skin, it will help u alot in learning about this illness, and it is a 2 hr. documentary about the Lyme Disease! (if you email me you can hear a little more on this) Elaina
