Guest guest
My son is 4 years old, and we have been doing biomed for approx. 6 months now to treat what I consider ADHD symptoms (lack of focus, hyperactivity, inappropriate behavior, etc.). After a series of tests, we found quite a few gut issues such as a lack of 5 amino acids (he is now on a custom-made amino acid powder daily), yeast, bad bacteria, parasites, inflammation, food allergies, and trouble breaking down nutrients. After going on a very strict diet and a supplement regiment, his last 2 GI Stool Effects tests came back clean on yeast (yea!), much lower on inflammation, and eradicated some parasites (only to gain a couple of new ones). (Strep also came up negative.) The main concern on the last test was still his ongoing inability to break down fats and proteins. We have been using Klaire's chewable Vital-Zymes for around 4 months now -- 3 before meals and 2 before snacks.(Although he refrained from taking enzymes for 4 days prior to the test per the instructions, which tells us that either the enzymes aren't working, or else the lack of using them for 4 days showed that he really needs them I guess? Not sure.) We have concluded that what we're doing in regards to the enzymes just isn't " enough. " The way I understand it, this particular brand is more of a " multi- purpose " enzyme, and my DAN recommended getting one that is more powerful at specifically breaking down fats and proteins (although I would think that he would require it to break down other things besides fats and proteins just to be safe with all of his food allergies?). She said that she was do some research and get back to me, but I thought I would also do some research of my own (hence my post). Before I found this message board, I received the suggestion to use Houston's (from another group) and ordered some, so it's on the way. Any other suggestions? It would be nice to find a chewable, but it's not absolutely necessary. Thanks for reading!

Guest guest
Hello, Enzymedica makes the most potent enzyme product on the market. It is called DigestGold. DigestGold is a broad spectrum enzyme so it will digest all parts of your little one's meal. Enzymedica also makes one for fats in particular. That one is called LypoGold. I would recommend DigestGold because it is high in Lipases (for fats), Proteases (for protein) and other enzymes too! If you would like a sample and information just let me know, I'll send them out to you. Guest guest
I believe that other than the Triezna, all are available in chewable form...you should give them a call.
