hello,

i am trying to understand alot of this and it is difficult as i am new. i hope

someone can answer these questions. my son has signifigant phenol issues. we

recently started working with a dan doctor. he had a urinary sulfite test and

the results were as follows:

sulfite: .72

thiocyanate: 11.7 (which was noted as low, the low end of reference was 20)

thiosulphate: 82.6 (which was noted as high, the range was 6.5-35.5)

total sulfate: 4244

free sulphate: 2793

can anyone shed some light on this? i havent spoken with the doctor yet about

these results. also, i have read that epsom salt baths help with pst issues? has

anyone had sucess with these? is there any reason NOT to do them? what are the

instructions to do them?

any other suggestions to help unblock this 'clogged' detoxification pathway?

what else should i be looking at? i just dont know where to go with this.

thank you for your help,

kim

We just saw a DAN Dr. for the first time yesterday and will be doing the

tests next week but we did talk about the sulfur issue. Dd reacts to sulfur

foods with ammonia smelling mushy bms and he said to continue with the epsom

salt baths and epsom rubs but stay away from the foods. Here is a good link

that connects the phenols (an issue with dd as well) and sulfur issues.

We are still new to this as well so I don't have any further advice for you.
