Guest guest
Not sure if this is the best place to post this but thought I would give it a try.... We will be losing our services when our son turns 3 in August, however, I would like to continue with an ABA program 8 - 10 hours per week, even after school starts in Sept. Does anyone know of a local, private ABA consultant (we are in North Andover)? I was hoping a private person would be less per hour then one of the larger companies, such as we use now. Thanks! If your child has a diagnosis on the spectrum, on top of EI services, you can choose either ABA or floor time as well since EI contracts with specific companies. We go through Beacon for our ABA services and they allow a family to have up to 25 hours a week of ABA (paid for through their contract with EI). We couldnt fit that many hours in so we are at the 14 hour bracket. But on top of our ABA services through Beacon, I was able to work with EI to get my son 1.25 hours of speech per week, 1.25 hours of OT and 1.25 hours with a developmental specialist. We do a couple other therapies that we are paying for out of pocket, such as therapuetic riding (although you can get EI to pay for this as well if you really want to) and RDI. >As soon as our son turns 3 in August, all of his free services stop and the school takes over, however, we have not been happy with all that they can provide and are looking to continue some of his therapies on our own. Hence my search for a private ABA consultant. > >Hope some of this helps. Are you not getting this? Guest guest
You may want to join the verbal behavior group as well as the group. Both would have information on consultants and where to look for ones in your area. > > Not sure if this is the best place to post this but thought I would give it a try.... > We will be losing our services when our son turns 3 in August, however, I would like to continue with an ABA program 8 - 10 hours per week, even after school starts in Sept.
