fat intolerance after starting antifungal?

Hi Listmates,

I wonder if anyone have had similar experience like mine:

My son has been on Diflucan for antifungal for just over 2 months. During these

2 months I have tried introducing some new (and resumed old suppls that he use

to tolerate before)suppls and I suspect my son has developed some sort of fat

intolerance. I have tried introducing Vit E, Vit D, and also re-introduce fish

oil and cod liver oil; but on each occassion, my son seems intolerant of these

supps (symptoms are: Vit D and E both gave him a hard time as evidence by

increased stims, high-pitched screaming; CLO and fish oil caused tummy ache/

stomache upset - tummy was very bloated and hard though BM appeared normal).

He used to take CLO and fish oil with no problem in the past (in fact fish oil

was the first supp we found helped calm him down). AT first I could not figure

out what the problem was, but then I realised all these suppls are oil-based; so

I suspect it could be some sort of fat intolerance.

My son's most recent CDSA shows that he has deficient slgA, low butyrate (my

naturopath says that this indicates a need for lipase enzyme to aid fat

digestion).

Has anyone come across this before? Does any one has any idea what could have

gone wrong here?

Many thanks for your input
