Guest guest
> My son, age 3.5 keeps on having episodes of pea green like coloring bowel movements. For my son, this meant he ate something not tolerated. Some people report this when the child eats something blue, purple, or green. > that he is low in HCL or has an absence of it. You can try giving him apple cider vinegar before meals, see if that helps. Dana
Guest guest
here is something weird. my typical daughter had p green poop and sometimes grainy. She had stomach pain. It was salmonella. From: susanpruyne <susanpruyne@...> Subject: Help!! question about LOW HCL, green bowel movements Date: Monday, April 5, 2010, 2:58 PM Â My son, age 3.5 keeps on having episodes of pea green like coloring bowel movements. I supplement him with pancreatic enzymes to stop this. But if I don't give him the pancreatin it returns. This has been going on for close to 2 years. I think it is excess bile from the liver due to that he is low in HCL or has an absence of it. My thought is that since he is low in hydrochloric acid, there for no pepsin is released, there for no pancratic enzyme release in the small intestines. His fecal tests months ago did show a challenge in breaking down protein. I feel that this might be the reason behind his dysbiosis and am thinking of supplementing him with hcl/pepsin. I would greatly an opinion on this. susan
