I would not recommend silver. I would use OLE instead. >>My son is still stimming and I'd like to try and get that under control too. What are the stims? Guest guest
Stims would worsen with my sons when their bacteria got out of control. Ask your doctor if Biocidin would be strong enough. We use a good probiotic, enzymes and Biocidin. DeFelice's book talks about using proteases along with a product that targets bacteria, like the silver...but I wouldn't use silver. Biocidin is an herbal antimicrobial product. Joanne > >>He wants to put him on silver, cellmax, prodofolus (sp?) and florguard (sp?). Guest guest
He clenches his fists..opens mouth and kind of shakes when he's watching tv, organizing toys, listening to music...things like that. Hmmm...I started the silver because I posted this quite a while ago. Should I stop silver and start the OLE? How much do you give and for how long? Today I started GSE on both my kids because my youngest now had a yeast problem. So right now I'm doing Prodophylus, Enzymes, CellMax and Silver and now he wants me to add Floraguard. Plus of course now the GSE. I feel like a mad scientist in my kitchen now! Thanks for getting back to me. I'll have to look into the Biocidin too. Is that for use instead of silver too like the OLE? Sorry for all the questions but this is still quite complicating for me! Thanks again! Jen > > Hello all...my son was diagnosed with Aspergers about a year ago and while searching the net for info on nutritional supplements/diets I stumbled on this group and have been lurking for about a month. Long story short I went to my doctor with this info and he put my son on enzymes, a probiotic and Syndion. I cannot believe what a difference this has made in our life in as little as 4 weeks and I want to thank all of you for all of your effort in putting this information out there. It's kind of sad that I feel like us moms have to do this on our own. At least I did anyway. My sons stool came back as basically having no good bacteria and a ton of bad bacteria. My doctor also said he is not digesting proteins properly. I don't have the specifics yet and won't until I meet with him. Guest guest
So I would be using Biocidin to replace the silver correct? I just went on the website and it looks good. How do you give it? It has the oil of oregano that I've been reading about in it so I wouldn't need to use that. Do you ever use Olive Leaf Extract? Thanks for your help. ________________________________ From: josie2boyz <josie2boyz@...> Sent: Wed, November 11, 2009 11:17:52 AM Subject: Re: New here and to the world of enzymes... Guest guest
Please get on the autism mercury board in too. You'll learn a ton there too. I would get on a yeast protocol and take out the silver. Digestive enzymes I ran into while research food allergies. I game them to my PPD-NOS son first, he felt so much better, he could tell, he was in 2 grade at the time. I then got on the wagon completely and added probiotics, and supplements. We are now doing chelation following the Andy Cutler protocol. Yeast protocol is a must. This is a several year progress, baby steps. Tammy New here and to the world of enzymes... Guest guest
Yes, Biocidin would replace the silver. I give it in the drops form mixed with a very small amount of grape juice/strawberry lemonade. It recommends dosing 2-3 times a day, 1 drop per 10 lbs body weight. I give it the AM and at night before bed. Go low and slow, one drop per week and work up to max dose. We've had die off reactions here from it. I have not used OLE. Guest guest
Thanks Joanne..I just ordered the Biocidin. Do you ever mix it with probiotics or enzymes or do you give it alone? ________________________________ From: josie2boyz <josie2boyz@...> Sent: Thu, November 12, 2009 2:46:22 PM Subject: Re: New here and to the world of enzymes...
