Guest guest
My 8 year old son is very sensitive to salicylates, and it shows up in his behaviour , about a day after he eats some (defiance, aggression, moodiness). It usually last 1 to 2 days after that. I've been giving him 1/4 teaspoon of the No Fenol powder, 3 times/day (equiv. to one capsule) since early December with good results. I read today on Houston's Dosage Chart (http://www.houstonni.com/faq/articles/dosing-information.html) that they consider 1/8 teaspoon twice daily might be all that's necessary, and only to increase to 1/4 twice daily " if necessary " . I thought that the enzymes only lasted about 4 hours, so twice daily seems too little, but I guess they know what they're talking about! What are other people's experieinces using NF for food intolerances and dosage amounts? And timing? And if I give him more than he needs for foods, will that be used by the body for fighting yeast (which I think might be an issue for him), or will it be wasted? Thanks, Jeni (DS, 8 years, food intolerances, SPD, enzymes (No-Fenol) one month.
