Guest guest
Doesn't work.Maybe mine is too severe for it. From: askingleaders <askingleaders@...> Subject: Enzyme for inflammation in the gut? Date: Thursday, October 29, 2009, 7:24 PM Hello, I wonder if anybody used serrapeptase alone for inflammation in the gut. http://www.serrapep tase.info/ anyone used it? A doctor in Germany by the name of Dr. Nieper used it succesfully to treat inflammation. It has to be enteric coated capsules. My 3 1/2 has bad inflammation in the GI. Is there a reliable brand/manufacturer of this? please chime in. mom of , 3 1/2 ,Autism, IBD, GERD.
Guest guest
Hi , Enzymedica makes a product with high amounts of Serratiopeptidase called SerraGold. SerraGold ™ has been formulated using the potent Serratiopeptidase enzyme and Enzymedica's unique Protease Thera-blend and is intended for those seeking the highest potency Serratiopeptidase available. Serratiopeptidase has proven to be effective in improving circulation, speeding tissue repair, alleviating joint discomfort, supporting cardiovascular health, relieving respiratory complaints and having anti-edema qualities. Serratiopeptidase comes from a hardy bacterium source E15 and because it is a protease it has the ability to survive the digestive tract and cross into the blood stream remaining active. Serratiopeptidase: Serratiopeptidase (serrapeptase)is a proteolytic enzyme originally discovered in the digestive tract of the Japanese silk worm but is now derived almost exclusively from bacteria of the genus Serratia strain. Serratiopeptidase has proven to be effective in improving circulation, speeding tissue repair, alleviating joint discomfort, supporting cardiovascular health, relieving respiratory complaints and having anti-edema qualities.1-6 Serratiopeptidase has even been shown effective in transferring antibiotics to the site of infection and is now widely used in Germany as an alternative for many of these issues.7,8 It has such broad ranging effects because of its possible mechanisms of action. There are three ways Serratiopeptidase is believed to act, 1) through the elimination of inflammatory mediators, 2) through the acceleration of liquefaction of pus and sputum, and 3) through the enhancement of the action of antibiotics.9,10 Because Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme, specifically a protease, it has the ability to survive the digestive tract and cross into the blood stream remaining active.11 Feel free to ask me any questions. Hope this helps! Guest guest
I don't know what this enzyme does exactly but my daughter gets very emotional and upset after we give it to her. You can look at it two ways in that it is healing something or hurting. I don't know which it is right now so I cut it out pretty quick. We just used doctors best brand which is fairly cheap. > > > > Hello, > > > > I wonder if anybody used serrapeptase alone for inflammation in the gut. > > > > http://www.serrapeptase.info/ > > > > anyone used it? Guest guest
I wanted to ask Alessandra a question not related to this post...sorry. Can you explain to me how products like Virastop can be absorbed into the bloodstream in an active state and be able to breakdown virus and bacteria walls? I thought all enzymes stayed in the gut. If they weren't used to digest anything there, they were digested themselves down to their basic parts of amino acids etc. How exactly does Virastop work? I'm asking because I want to try it for my son, but I need to understand what I am giving him. Thank you! > > > > Hello, > > > > I wonder if anybody used serrapeptase alone for inflammation in the gut. > > > > http://www.serrapeptase.info/ > > > > anyone used it? Guest guest
We had great success with serrapeptase for gut inflammation as well as for canker sores in the mouth. Because my son can't swallow capsules, we open it and put it under his tongue and then give him some water. It doesn't taste intense and he looks forward to it... It is now a staple in our supplements for the entire family as it is helping all of us. We use Doctor's Best and purchase it at iHerb. Guest guest
Hi , I asked our technical advisors about your question and they got the following from The Healing Power of Enzymes by DicQie Fuller. " Plant-based proteases can survive stomach acid and cross into the blood stream remaining active. Once in the blood stream the proteases are bound to a2macroglobulin. The binding of the protease with the A2M does not inactivate the protease. However the complexing of the a2macroglobulin ensures the clearance of the protease from the organism. Several studies have indicated that oral proteases bound to the macroglobulins hydrolyze immune complexes, proteinaceous debris, and damaged protein. Simple words The A2M protect the protease like an ambulance escorts it through the blood stream to where it can help the white blood cells do their job more effectively. Question- How do enzymes support the immune system? Answer- Proteolytic enzymes are typically your main choice for support of the immune system. Proteases do this through at least 3 actions. Protease will break down proteins that are 1. Dead, 2. Damaged, or 3. Do not belong (marked with an antibody). Question- How exactly does Virastop work? Answer- Viruses are cell parasites consisting of nucleic acids covered by a protein film. The introduction of oral proteases, presents the ability of those enzymes to act upon the protein coating of the viruses. Enzymes can also break down undigested food protein, cellular debris, and toxins in the blood, sparing the immune system this task. The immune system can then concentrate its full action on the viral, bacterial, fungal, or parasitic invasion.* For the above reasons Virastop is a unique product. It is not an " immune stimulator " , rather an " immune balancer. " It contains a blend of eight proteases, which has the potential of becoming part of the immune system when taken on an empty stomach.* Statement- If they weren't used to digest anything there, they were digested themselves down to their basic parts of amino acids etc. Response- Enzymes are protein chemicals, which carry a vital energy factor needed for every chemical action, and reaction that occurs in our body. There are approximately 1300 different enzymes found in the human cell. These enzymes can combine with coenzymes to form nearly 100,000 various chemicals that enable us to see, hear, feel, move, digest food, and think. Every organ, every tissue, and all the 100 trillion cells in our body depend upon the reactions of metabolic enzymes and their energy factor. Nutrition cannot be explained without describing the part that enzymes play. The body has 1-100 trillion cells. Any one of those cells could be using thousands of different enzymes every second. This allows for huge quantities to be used by the body without addiction or overdosing. There is always a use for the enzymes we take. I know that's a lot of information, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
