Guest guest
I forgot to ask also HOW MUCH should I add of anything that might help? He weighs 45 lbs. Sounds like Virastop enzme might help the viral thing further. thoughts on this would also be appreciated. Thanks so much! Guest guest
Hi!! Sorry I cant help on the supplement questions. But can I ask you about the garlic chips? We are garlic users and I just usually cook with it or crush and swallow. Can you tell me about the garlic chips and how they are made? Jennie<><> mrsstanko <mrsstanko@...> wrote: Hi! My son is currently on Diflucan once/day for yeast (7:00 P.M.) I give him probiotics 1st thing in AM and at bedtime and Sacc. B.1st thing as well. He is also on SCD (with enzymes)to starve out bad bacteria, which has been helping him tremendously. He gets around 500 mcg of biotin/day along with his multi. He had a bad cold two weeks ago, so I started giving him OLE and was able to prevent an ear infection that was clearly starting. GAINS STARTED ROLLING IN, LANGUAGE HAS BEEN UP TO A NEW LEVEL, and he is much more aware! I have continued w/OLE (205 mg 2x/day) for obvious reasons. He has been taking it mid-morning and around 3 hours before bedtime. The had a slight red rash above his rear-end and sometimes has itchy (butt) cheeks. I am assuming this is viral die-off. Last week, he went from pooping daily to every other day and once skipped 2 days. He is never constipated. Poop has (ever since OLE), however, been solid, which has been a great Christmas gift in itself because it is usually sloppy. This past weekend, the mouthing has incresed greatly and he has been more giggly, so I am assuming this is a yeast flare from the viral die-off. I limited fruit and honey all weekend long, and he has been a little better. Yesterday, I toasted some garlic " chips " in the oven and he actually ate them. He pooped 3X later, so I think that helped clean him out. Should I just let this ride, or shoud I add something like GSE to the anti-yeast arsenol at this point? (If I add anything, when should I add it?) Any advice would be appreciated! MS - Mom to age 5 ASD child --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
It sounded to me like you were concerned about the yeast and wanted to up the yeast protocal. I noticed you were only giving 500 mcgs of biotin. It takes about 15 mg.s of biotin for my boys to make a difference. Also, the speach gain might possibly be from you clearing out the viruses. I have heard Dana say when you clear viruses from the brain that you can see alot of good results with speech. I would focus on clearing the viruses and like you said, up the yeast fighter. On the rash and giggly moments I agree with you that they are die-off and the mouthing, I would think would be because you are working on the viruses. Maybe he is getting feeling back in his mouth or lips or something like that. HTHs Re: OLE/Yeast Question for Dana and others I forgot to ask also HOW MUCH should I add of anything that might help? Guest guest
Thanks for all of your thoughts, ! Everything you say makes sense; the part that actually clicked for me was the viruses in the brain. My son's regrression occurred exactly three years ago after a stomach virus. I will bet my life on it that it moved to his brain. He has been making lots of strides with biomed, but something has always been BLOCKING his ability to learn. Wouldn't it be AMAZING if this is the " something " and we can get rid of it??????? I do not want to get too excited because we have been burned so many times before by losing progress; however, his gains, for the most part, have been sticking as of the past year. > > > > Hi! > > > > My son is currently on Diflucan once/day for yeast (7:00 P.M.) > > > > I give him probiotics 1st thing in AM and at bedtime and Sacc. > B.1st > > thing as well. > > > > He is also on SCD (with enzymes)to starve out bad bacteria, which > has > > been helping him tremendously. > > > > He gets around 500 mcg of biotin/day along with his multi. > > > > He had a bad cold two weeks ago, so I started giving him OLE and > was > > able to prevent an ear infection that was clearly starting. Guest guest
Jennie, these garlic " chips " were kind of gross, so don't get too excited! I was just experimenting with the garlic and slicing it thin and baking it in the oven with a splash of olive oil. They were pretty bitter, but my son DID eat a few! One of the things that makes SCD hard is that there are limited foods which offer crunch at the beginning. I think he was just jonesing some CRUNCH. HOWEVER, HERE IS SOME GOOD NEWS! I don't know if your health food stores carried dried fruit and/or veggies in little plastic containers called " Just Strawberries, " " Just Veggies, " etc. Yesterday at Whole Foods, I saw " Just Garlic " and they looked similar to what I made except they were probably dehydrated. I am surprised at some of the things my son will eat, so you may want to try either of the above. Another thing you can do is take an entire fist of garlic, cut off the top, put oil on it, wrap it in foil, roast it at like 400 for about 15 minutes, and spread the paste on things (garlic bread, veggies, etc.) The garlic gets very SWEET rather than bitter. > Hi!! Sorry I cant help on the supplement questions. But can I ask you about the garlic chips? We are garlic users and I just usually cook with it or crush and swallow. Guest guest
Your welcome, but I don't feel I can take credit as I have been learning so much from reading all the post on here so Dana and all the others I gleaned from really deserve the thanks more than me. I just love it that we can learn from others on here though, isn't it great? I have been so focused on yeast and viruses lately that I actually read the posts now and I am saying to one or the other that is yeast or that is viral, to the point that I am driving my kids and husband crazy. LOL Anyway, glad I could help. Re: OLE/Yeast Question for Dana and others Thanks for all of your thoughts, ! Guest guest
Thank you so much for the info! Im gonna look for the " Just garlic " !! Garlic has done wonders for my family health wise. I usually just add it to the end of our cooking. If illness strikes, we even crush and swallow. I need to find new ways of cooking with it! Thank you so much!! Guest guest
Sounds like my daughter. She is on 3 drops of GFE and 1 capsule of lysine. I am going to start her on Biotin. I just got it today. The rash on her butt is better but not gone. She has solid round balls as stools. I thought I would see more loose stools if the yeast is dying off. Am I totally off base?
